Denver Broncos OT Ryan Clady (knee) tore the left anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during practice Wednesday, May 27, and he is likely to miss all of the 2015 season, according to a league source.
Fantasy Tip: Clady, a Pro Bowl left tackle in the past for Denver, is a huge loss to the offensive line as Peyton Manning's blind-side protector. It's an even bigger loss with Manning and the Broncos expected to use much more play-action passing under new head coach Gary Kubiak. It should have you concerned, but not even to devalue Manning as a top-five fantasy passer just yet.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense is expected to use much more play-action passing in 2015 under new head coach Gary Kubiak and his stretch-run, zone-blocking offense. Manning, however, has primarily been a pocket passer in his 17-year career, relying more on quick releases than his ability to scramble or roll out. Manning ranked fifth among 27 quarterbacks in play-action usage (27.3%) in his first season in Denver in 2012, and he was seventh in passer rating (108.8) in play-action. In 2013, a record-setting year, he was No. 7 in play-action usage (25.6%) and seventh in passer rating (108.8) in play-action. Last year, just 22.3% of his drop-backs were play-action (No. 11 in the league), and his passer rating was just 86.5. TE Owen Daniels, who is very familiar with Kubiak's offensive scheme, thinks Manning won't have a problem using more play-action.
Fantasy Tip: A move to a heavy ground attack late in the 2014 season coincided with Manning's quad injury, and his numbers quickly dipped. The 39-year-old should be fully healthy heading into 2015, and fantasy owners shouldn't be worried about his production, even in this new offense. Consider Manning a top-five fantasy QB again.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning looked strong and sharp in practice Wednesday, May 27, "whistling" throws short, medium and long. He was quick-footed and appeared to be in great condition for 39 years old, according to The Associated Press' Arnie Stapleton. Manning will have to work almost exclusively from under center in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: Manning looked like a different quarterback down the stretch in 2014 when he battled a quad injury that robbed him of velocity. Fantasy owners shouldn't have too much concern about his ability to perform at a high level this season, barring another injury. He's a top-five fantasy passer in all formats.

Denver Broncos DE Shane Ray (toe) did not participate in organized team activities Wednesday, May 27. Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said Ray is close to returning from turf toe and will be fitted for orthotic inserts in his shoes. Ray could begin individual drills soon, Kubiak said.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders indicated he may not be able to put up the same numbers in 2015 than he did in 2014 because of the offense head coach Gary Kubiak is bringing to the team. "It's definitely different," Sanders said. "You talk about going from a no-huddle offense to an offense that's huddling up, to an offense that is predicated off running a football and then throwing it. It's different." Sanders said his goal is to have 1,000 receiving yards on the season.
Fantasy Tip: Sanders likely will not catch over 100 passes this upcoming season, but he should continue to have a solid role in the passing game. Sanders' fantasy value could drop some because of the new offense, but he is still an option in the middle rounds of drafts.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning will see most of his snaps under center during organized team activities this week, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. Kubiak said Manning already has plenty of experience in the shotgun since the team used it 70% of the time in 2014.
Fantasy Tip: Manning likely will see more snaps under center with Kubiak as the new coach but should still see time in the shotgun. Manning may not be playing like he did earlier in his career but should be a weekly starting option for owners in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Manning's troubles at the end of last season should be blamed largely on injuries. Heading into a new season at full health, there's no reason to not consider Manning amongst the league's elite. Manning should be considered a top-five quarterback entering 2015 fantasy drafts.

Denver Broncos DE Shane Ray (toe) is likely to be limited in his work at minicamp this week, if he can participate. The team just lost TE Jeff Heuerman, the third-round pick, to a torn ACL and the Broncos do not want another higher-profile rookie injury.

Fantasy Tip: With a bigger role, Latimer will have a high ceiling in 2015. He is an unproven product, but he is still worth drafting as a WR3.

Denver Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman (knee) is expected to miss the 2015 season after tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament during a non-contact drill at rookie minicamp Saturday, May 9. According to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post, Heuerman had been enjoying a strong minicamp and was going to have a role in the offense.
