Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch has drawn rave reviews from some personnel people around the NFL, including two that believe he'll be the best quarterback in this year's draft class, according to NFL.com's Lance Zierlein.
Fantasy Tip: Opportunity is there for the taking in Denver, and with Lynch clearly the preferred long-term option it wouldn't be surprising to see them roll the dice on the rookie -- perhaps sooner than later. His fantasy prospects for 2016 are still modest, but you want might want to stick him on your watch list in case the praise isn't simply hyperbole.

Denver Broncons QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) did not practice Tuesday, Aug. 23, as he is nursing a sore shoulder. Siemian did, however, lead the Broncos in first-team running drills. The second-year quarterback is still expected to start Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Los Angeles Rams.
Fantasy Tip: The Broncos are in the classic scenario of picking the least destructive option among their quarterbacks. If Siemian plays well enough this weekend, he could lock up the starting gig, at least for Week 1. That being said, he's a bye-week replacement even if he does hold onto the job.

Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch has done some good things in training camp and the preseason, throwing for 187 yards with two touchdowns while completing 21 of his 33 throws. However, he has also taken six sacks in his limited preseason game action.
Fantasy Tip: Lynch is a rookie and there will be growing pains, but he is clearly the future in Denver. He might not start immediately, and could even be the No. 3 early on. For fantasy purposes he has very little appeal in redraft leagues to start, but he is a decent option in long-term keeper formats.

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder), who is tentatively scheduled to start the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Los Angeles Rams, suffered a jammed shoulder in the most recent preseason game. However, he is expected to return to practice Tuesday, Aug. 23.
Fantasy Tip: Siemian has a chance to start in Week 1, but even if he were to start he would be a low-end QB2 due to his inexperience. However, if he develops some confidence and a rapport with Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and company, he has some tools to be rather effective over time.

Denver Broncos QB Mark Sanchez has completed 20 of his 30 pass attempts in the preseason, but too many negative plays have cost him the lead in the starting quarterback competition against QBs Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch.
Fantasy Tip: Sanchez would be a low-end QB2 if he were to win the job, but he obviously has no fantasy appeal if he cannot beat out Siemian or Lynch. Things are looking bleak for the veteran in Denver.

Fantasy Tip: It's Siemian's second consecutive start, and he seems to be the favorite right now to start Week 1 for Denver barring a major lapse this weekend. The Broncos' quarterback situation is not an enviable one, though, and none of them should be regarded as starters in traditional leagues.

Denver Broncos LB Todd Davis is the favorite to replace LB Danny Trevathan as the other starter at inside linebacker next to LB Brandon M. Marshall, but LB Zaire Anderson is making a case for playing time with a strong preseason.

Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman has fallen to No. 3 on the depth chart, and "it would be a surprise" if they elected to pay the remaining $1.4 million on his contract, according to 9News.com. reporter Mike Klis.
Fantasy Tip: Hillman's drop down the depth chart has been swift and dramatic, going from No. 1 early last year to falling behind C.J. Anderson and rookie Devontae Booker this summer. He's bound to get a look by another running back-needy team if or when he is released, perhaps as depth behind Frank Gore with the Indianapolis Colts. His next landing spot will obviously determine if he has any fantasy value.

Fantasy Tip: Denver's quarterback situation is a crapshoot right now, and Lynch was probably the most impressive in their second preseason game. This thing could go down to the last preseason game, but whoever starts should not be a serious consideration as an every-week start for fantasy teams.
