Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey could be in the mix to be the Denver Broncos' first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft in large part due to the bond general manager John Elway has with former Broncos teammate Ed McCaffrey - Christian's father, according to Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline.
Fantasy Tip: It'd be a nice story, although one that seems far-fetched given the Broncos' desire to improve the offensive line. While McCaffrey will be listed as a running back in the NFL, offensive coordinators who want to maximize his talent will be utilizing him all over the field, including as a slot receiver and returner. Denver would not be an ideal landing spot since the Broncos probably want to be more of a run-oriented offense and give C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker the bulk of the workload in the backfield.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos have been mentioned as a possible option for Tony Romo, but Denver may be happy with the quarterbacks currently on the roster. Siemian and Lynch could compete for the starting job if the team does not add another quarterback during the offseason and the winner probably would be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo has not been discussed by the Denver Broncos, according to head coach Vance Joseph. General manager John Elway and Joseph have both emphasized that they are comfortable with QBs Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch as their quarterbacks.
Fantasy Tip: The Broncos do, or did, make sense for Romo, but it also makes sense to stick with what they have in Siemian and Lynch. Siemian figures to begin offseason activities as the starter, but Lynch won't be the backup without a fight. That being said, neither is a starting fantasy quarterback as of now.
