Broncos | C.J. Anderson in great shape

Fri, 28 Jul 2017 09:08:54 -0700

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson is in his best shape "in three or four years," according to head coach Vance Joseph.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson's devoted his offseason to improving his longevity, which has been an issue considering he has been unable to play 16 games in any of his four seasons. With Devontae Booker recovering from a fractured wrist and Jamaal Charles limited early in camp, Anderson had an opportunity to put some distance between himself and competition over the next week or so. Given his track record, Anderson should be viewed as a midrange fantasy RB2.

Broncos | Jamaal Charles not practicing

Thu, 27 Jul 2017 19:06:15 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Jamaal Charles did not practice with the rest of the team Thursday, July 27.

Fantasy Tip: Charles will be eased in as he returns from another knee injury, and he will need his body to hold up and a little bit of luck to carve out a meaningful role in the offense. He is a late-round lottery ticket.

Thu, 27 Jul 2017 12:20:15 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker (wrist) will have surgery to fix his fractured wrist Friday, July 28. His recovery time is expected to be six weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Jamaal Charles and rookie De'Angelo Henderson will have to pick up the slack behind C.J. Anderson for the time being. The backfield will take shape in the preseason, but Booker should reprise his backup role once he returns.

Broncos | Devontae Booker has wrist fracture

Thu, 27 Jul 2017 06:53:35 -0700

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker (wrist) has a fractured wrist that he has been lifting with for weeks, according to a source. He aggravated it in training.

Fantasy Tip: Booker is expected to miss six to eight weeks, which will likely cut into the first few weeks of the season. He's behind C.J. Anderson and Jamaal Charles, and he's little more than a deep-league pick or a final-round flyer.

Broncos | Devontae Booker injured, out several weeks

Wed, 26 Jul 2017 21:31:01 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Devontae Booker (wrist) has a wrist injury, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, and he's expected to miss up to six to eight weeks. It's unclear how he was injured and it's anticipated that Booker will be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Fantasy Tip: Fortunately for the Broncos, they have more depth at running back than most clubs, but this is still a tough blow, as Booker was potentially emerging after a fine showing in his rookie season a year ago. With him possibly on track to miss regular season games, that will provide more work for the likes of C.J. Anderson and offseason addition Jamaal Charles.
