Denver Broncos LB Brandon M. Marshall is prepared to sign his one-year restricted free agent tender for $2.533 million even though he wants a long-term contract. "I have no problem playing the deal out," Marshall said. "But I want to be here long-term, so that's what I'm working towards."

Denver Broncos DE DeMarcus Ware (back) is expected to miss most of organized team activities with his back ailment, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. Kubiak is hopeful that Ware will be able to get a couple of practice sessions in, though.

Fantasy Tip: Much is expected of Heuerman this year after he missed all of his rookie season with a torn ACL. He'll still be competing with Virgil Green and Garrett Graham, though, and is not a starting fantasy tight end.

Denver Broncos QBs Mark Sanchez, Paxton Lynch and Trevor Siemian have been dividing repetitions down the middle, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. Kubiak said it's an unusual situation, but that all three are good players.
Fantasy Tip: This quarterback battle really could come down to the final preseason game. Sanchez is probably the favorite for now considering his experience, but none of the three should be considered starting caliber in fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Booker has serious upside in the NFL in his rookie season despite being behind C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman on the depth chart. He has the athleticism to be a three-down back quickly, but he must prove that his knee is healthy. He's off to a good start and is worth a late-round flier in fantasy drafts with WR3 potential right away.

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian is considered a sleeper for the starting quarterback job, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. "I think Trevor has a maturity to him. He's kind of the sleeper, I would say. Trevor knows the offense. He's very comfortable and can throw the ball, too," Kubiak said Monday, May 30. "We've also seen him make big plays in the preseason games under the lights. I wouldn't sleep on Trevor to win the job, either."
Fantasy Tip: It will be a tall order for Siemian to leapfrog veteran Mark Sanchez and first-round draft pick Paxton Lynch, but he is still considered a candidate. If he were to win the job he would be a QB2, at best, in most fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Lynch is still in the learning process of his professional career, of course, and he may stay there throughout the 2016 season. Mark Sanchez is the likely favorite to start for the Broncos. That being said, Lynch, Sanchez nor Trevor Siemian is worth drafting as a starting fantasy quarterback.

Denver Broncos WRs Cody Latimer and Bennie Fowler are expected to compete for the No. 3 wide receiver job during training camp. Latimer has performed well during offseason workouts during the last few seasons but has not recorded great numbers during the regular season. Fowler had a decent role in the passing game in 2015 but injuries and inconsistency dropped him on the depth chart.
Fantasy Tip: Fowler has posted better numbers during his career, but Latimer was drafted higher and has performed well during offseason workouts. The Broncos probably will decide the winner of the competition at some point during the preseason, but the winner likely would only be a late-round option in most leagues.

Denver Broncos LB Brandon M. Marshall (finger) is participating in offseason workouts even though he has not signed a contract with the team at this point. He signed a waiver to allow him to participate in the organized team activities. He does have an offer on the table worth $2.533 million since he was tendered as a restricted free agent, but he likely will not receive a long-term deal until the team signs LB Von Miller.

Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday, May 25, that competition is open at quarterback in organized team activities. However, QB Mark Sanchez's experience gives him the clear edge over QBs Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch despite not having started a season opener since 2012. Sanchez must perform in training camp to hold the other two young QBs off. If he wins the job, Sanchez must limit turnovers during the season to keep the job.
Fantasy Tip: Just like they did in their 2015 Super Bowl run, the Broncos are expected to lean on a strong defense and the run game to succeed. Sanchez is expected to start and take on a game-manager role, which limits his fantasy upside despite a strong receiving corps at his disposal. The fact that his leash will be short and that he's struggled with consistency since early in his career makes him a midrange fantasy backup, at best.
