Denver Broncos OT Russell Okung is expected to be released this offseason, but the Broncos could look to re-sign him if they want him back. The Broncos have until March 13 to decide on his option. Okung would be under contract for four more years and receive $21 million in guaranteed money if the option is exercised.

Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy believes he can adjust his system to get the most out of either QB Trevor Siemian or QB Paxton Lynch. McCoy previously held the same position with the Broncos before becoming the San Diego Chargers' head coach, and he was known for his ability to create offenses tailored to his personnel.
Fantasy Tip: Whether it be running a read-option for Tim Tebow, a high-octane aerial assault for Peyton Manning, or a more conventional system for Philip Rivers, McCoy has shown to be among the best at adaptive coaching techniques. Now seeing that translate into on-field production for Lynch or Siemian is a different conversation, each quarterback has enough with which to work to provide a glimmer of hope. Think low-end QB2 for Siemian and a total flier No. 3 for Lynch, based on who wins the gig.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos have plenty of salary cap space, which apparently includes enough room for some risks. Cruz would certainly qualify as one, being someone who has looked like a much different player since tearing the patellar tendon in his knee in 2014. While Denver does have a need for a No. 3 receiver, the 30-year-old still has a long road ahead back towards fantasy relevance.

Fantasy Tip: Kaepernick-to-Denver looked like it was going to happen last offseason, but the compensation can never get worked out, and the Broncos ended up sticking with Trevor Siemian and drafting Paxton Lynch. Denver has reaffirmed its commitment to developing both several times already this offseason, so it appears Kaepernick will have to look elsewhere for a potential starting gig if he opts out of his deal with San Francisco.

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Joe Woods said a lack of depth at the defensive tackle position hurt the run defense in 2016, and beat writer Cameron Wolfe believes Arizona Cardinals DT Calais Campbell would be a good fit if Campbell hits free agency.

Denver Broncos QBs Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch received a vote of confidence from new head coach Vance Joseph Tuesday, Feb. 7. Joseph said he and the Broncos are committed to the young quarterbacks and that competition between the two is the plan going forward.
Fantasy Tip: This doesn't necessarily rule out picking up, trading for or drafting a quarterback, but it makes sense to have Siemian and Lynch compete for the starting job. Siemian held his own last year while Lynch was thrown to the wolves somewhat, but neither should be drafted as a starting fantasy quarterback just yet.

Fantasy Tip: Forsett received limited work after he signed with the Broncos after the season and probably would only be able to find a backup role if he decides to play in 2017. Owners in all leagues can avoid Forsett in drafts next season.

Denver Broncos DE DeMarcus Ware stated that he plans on playing 2017 and that he would like to remain with the organization. "Hopefully I come back there, and I want to," Ware said. "But it's also about the man who writes the checks and that's (general manager John) Elway. But I'm ready, I'm passionate and I want to lead that defense."
