Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden said he's excited to be with the Cowboys and feels like he's a rookie again. McFadden also said the injured hamstring that caused him to miss time this offseason is feeling great.
Fantasy Tip: McFadden will mainly be competing with Joseph Randle for the starting running back job. Lance Dunbar, Ryan Williams and Lache Seastrunk will also be in the mix. Randle is probably the safer option, considering McFadden's extensive injury history, and should be drafted in the low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 range.

The agent for Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant met face-to-face with the team for the first time in nearly four months, per sources. Bryant hasn't yet signed his $12.823 million franchise tender, and he has a deadline of July 15 to agree to a long-term deal. After that date Bryant will need to play out the season under the tender and the two sides could discuss an extension after the season.
Fantasy Tip: Bryant's side has threatened to miss games in 2015, but the Cowboys don't believe it, as it would cost Bryant $754,000 per week. Owner Jerry Jones fully expects Bryant to be in the lineup for Week 1 against the New York Giants, and fantasy owners should be drafting as though that will be the case.

Dallas Cowboys DE Randy Gregory has been watching the rookie film of retired DL Simeon Rice in preparation for the 2015 season. "His length is probably the biggest thing I've taken notice of. He uses it very well and that's something I've really been trying to do. My long arm I think is getting better in camp and it's only going to get better the more I play, and Jason Taylor, he's real athletic, tall guy, long, kind of myself. So they're real athletic. They do a lot of good things and I'm gonna take the things that [defensive coordinator] Marinelli preaches and get off the ball. I'm trying to get off the ball as much as I can," said Gregory. The Cowboys would also like Gregory to add weight, and he's expected to arrive at training camp at 245 pounds.

Fantasy Tip: There is buzz that Bryant could extend his holdout into Week 1, and this is a good sign that he'll be ready to go for the year. Bryant will likely slot in somewhere in the back half of the first round of fantasy drafts.

Fantasy Tip: Randle will be pushed by Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar, but the talent is there to take off. He's a high-end RB3, but behind that talented offensive line, you may need to take him as a low-end RB2.

Dallas Cowboys RB Ryan Williams is unlikely to make the 53-man roster projected by beat writer Todd Archer. The team's running backs would be RBs Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and FB Tyler Clutts.
Fantasy Tip: Williams could still very well make the team, as this is just one man's opinion, but the former Cardinals tailback needs to prove he can stay healthy and be effective first.

Dallas Cowboys DE Randy Gregory has made a good first impression with the team, according to owner Jerry Jones. "It's easy to see his talent, very easy to see," Jones said. "His willingness to take coaching from his teammates, as well as the coaches themselves -- all of those things, you like. Those are intangibles."

Dallas Cowboys CB Byron Jones has shown he is more than just a great athlete during offseason activities, and owner Jerry Jones said he has "visions of sugar plums" when envisions Jones playing in nickel packages. "I don't think we could have asked for more, sitting here today, than what he's shown," Jones said. "He certainly has shown the athletic ability, which was a given, but he's shown the instincts, shown the ability to have position flex of corner as well as safety. ... He is everything as advertised."

Dallas Cowboys DE Randy Gregory said he has added 12 pounds this offseason and currently weighs 243 pounds. Gregory said the team probably wants him at around 255 pounds but expects to be between 245 pounds and 255 pounds at the start of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: With x-rays being negative, Williams has avoided a serious injury. Williams was one of the most touchdown-reliant fantasy wide receivers last year. He scored eight times but only caught 37 passes in 16 games. A ray of optimism may be found for Williams in that the Cowboys probably won't be as reliant on the running game this year now that DeMarco Murray is gone. He's in low-end WR4 to high-end WR5 territory.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant isn't expected to hold out into the season and remains one of the top receivers in fantasy and worth considering in the first round.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is expected to play Week 1 with or without a long-term contract, according to owner Jerry Jones. Jones said he knows how competitive Bryant is and how much he wants to support his teammates. Jones even believes Bryant will be with the team for training camp in late July. Bryant has until July 15 to sign a long-term deal.
Fantasy Tip: Perhaps this is a subtle message from Jones to Bryant. Bryant won't be required to show up for training camp if he still hasn't signed his franchise tender once it starts. Stay tuned to this situation leading up to the deadline and beyond.
