Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent OG Ronald Leary probably will not return to the Cowboys next season because he likely will receive more money in free agency than the team will be willing to pay him, in the opinion of ESPNDallas.com's Todd Archer.

Dallas Cowboys LB Jaylon Smith (knee) is being penciled in as a "big-time contributor", according to team executive vice president Stephen Jones. "We feel so good about him, what he's been able to accomplish. I think he's getting better each day. We're very optimistic about him and are penciling him in as a big-time contributor for our team," Jones told KRLD-FM 105.3 The Fan.

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo has already said he wants to continue playing, but Bryan Broaddus of the team's official website believes retirement is a serious possibility for the quarterback this offseason.
Fantasy Tip: Even though a healthy Romo would still better than roughly half of the starting quarterbacks in the league, it would be hard to blame him if he chose to leave the game given his age (turns 37 in April) history of back injuries. Ultimately, he'll probably try to squeeze out one more year, although it is highly unlikely he will do so in Dallas.

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is "not going to be on (the team) in 2017," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who states that trading the veteran quarterback is their "No. 1 priority this offseason."
Fantasy Tip: It's looking like a certainty that Romo will not be with the only team he has ever known next season. The only question is where he ends up, and with a good number of teams seeking to rectify their starting quarterback situation this offseason, the 12-year veteran figures to land in a spot where he'll get another chance again right out of the gate. This should be one of the more interesting storylines of the upcoming offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Witten will be 35 in May and had a decent 69-673-3 campaign in 2016. He'll be a midrange PPR tight end with minimal upside.

Fantasy Tip: Witten can still be counted on for a handful of catches per game, but he does his damage on underneath coverage and offers little upside. Draft him as a TE2 in 2017.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant was an all-or-nothing fantasy play for much of this season, but when healthy, he still showcased WR1 upside. If he slips a bit in 2017 drafts, he could end up being a steal for fantasy owners.

Fantasy Tip: Dallas came out on the losing end, but Elliott delivered another strong performance. He should be a top-five pick in all formats next season.

Fantasy Tip: After a brilliant rookie season that no one could have predicted, Prescott is already in the mix as a QB1 heading into 2017.
