Cowboys | Former RB high on Ezekiel Elliott

Fri, 29 Apr 2016 14:26:20 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott is a better running back than former Cowboys RB Emmitt Smith was when he played, according to Smith.

Fantasy Tip: Elliott has joined a crowded backfield in Dallas, so he may not receive a lot of touches as a rookie. Elliott should have a decent role on offense in 2016 and could see more playing time if Darren McFadden or Alfred Morris suffer injuries. Elliott should be considered a No. 3 fantasy running back at this point.

Cowboys | Dallas takes Ezekiel Elliott fourth overall

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 17:37:52 -0700

The Dallas Cowboys selected Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall selection in the 2016 NFL draft on Thursday, April 28.

Fantasy Tip: Elliott is by far and away the best running back in this draft, but the Cowboys already have Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris on the backfield. That means Elliott's fantasy value may suffer without consistent carries in his rookie year. Draft him as a low-end RB3, but if injuries open up playing time he could have RB2 upside behind a great offensive line.

Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott gaining steam with Dallas

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 16:32:13 -0700

The case for Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott to be drafted by the Dallas Cowboys appears to be gaining steam, according to David Moore of The Dallas Morning News.

Fantasy Tip: The Cowboys have been strongly connected with Elliott leading up to the draft. He would likely be their go-to back but would still split touches with Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris. That being said, RB2 status still wouldn't be out of the question at all, especially behind that elite offensive line.

Cowboys | Dallas down to two players?

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 11:49:07 -0700

The Dallas Cowboys seem to be debating between Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott and Florida State CB Jalen Ramsey with their fourth overall selection in the NFL Draft.

Fantasy Tip: Both players could be available with the Rams and Eagles expected to take quarterbacks, and the Chargers could go offensive tackle. Running back isn't a glaring need for Dallas, but Elliott could have RB2 upside behind that elite offensive line.
