Dallas Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick is back practicing with the team for the first time since the end of the preseason, but head coach Jason Garrett isn't ready to commit to any kind of a role for Scandrick in Week 3 against the St. Louis Rams. Scandrick tested positive for amphetamine use in the offseason, and he started 15 games last year. Garrett said he thought Scandrick looked like he was in good shape after working with a personal trainer during his absence from the team.

Dallas Cowboys LB Rolando McClain has been the team's most impressive defender after two weeks of the season. He currently leads the team with 15 tackles, a pass deflection, an interception and a sack. "Rolando made it real clear that he wanted to be part of a team. He wanted to do his part. He wanted his teammates to count on him. But he didn't necessarily want to be viewed as the guy to come in here and play at a Superman (level) – well, I don't mean that. He wants to play at that level but he didn't want to be viewed as that's what's expected of him on every play. That's the role that he had," owner Jerry Jones said.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray may be in talks with the team about a new contract in the near future. Chief operating officer Stephen Jones said the team wouldn't be against giving Murray a new contract and that they desire to keep him in Dallas long-term, adding that Murray has increased that desire with his play so far this season.
Fantasy Tip: So far, Murray has proven that last season was not a fluke. He's a legitimate RB1 through the rest of the season and is probably worth any price on FantasyScore.
