Cowboys | Terrance Williams misses practice Friday

Sat, 23 Sep 2017 06:46:15 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (ankle) was added to the injury report after not practicing Friday, Sept. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Regardless of his availability for Week 3's contest against the Arizona Cardinals, Williams should be nowhere near your fantasy starting lineups. He is arguably the Cowboys' fifth-best option in the passing game right now, behind Dez Bryant, Cole Beasley, Jason Witten and Ezekiel Elliott.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant not worried

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 20:43:45 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has nine catches on 25 targets through two games, and he said while that level of efficiency is "not acceptable," he believes the connection between he and QB Dak Prescott will start clicking.

Fantasy Tip: To be fair, Bryant has faced some tough matchups to open the year, and he draws another one in Week 3 against Patrick Peterson and the Cardinals. He is a boom-or-bust WR2.

Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott to play in next two games

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 17:09:51 -0700

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott has been cleared to play in the next two games after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th District set a Oct. 2 court date for the case involving his six-game suspension.

Fantasy Tip: Elliott was limited to eight yards against the Denver Broncos last week and will be facing an Arizona Cardinals rush defense that ranks in the top-10 in the NFL. Elliott should have more success in Week 3 and can be a No. 1 or No. 2 fantasy running back for owners this week.

Cowboys | Jason Witten is NFL's most-targeted TE

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 21:45:02 -0700

Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten leads all players at his position with 22 targets through the first two weeks, with the next-closest being Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz, having logged 18 targets. Witten has turned all those throws his way into 17 catches for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip: Without question, the future Hall-of-Fame tight end is one of the most underrated in the league, having not even missed a game since his rookie year -- way back in 2003! -- and he's accumulated more than 60 catches in each of his 13 seasons since. He's currently on pace to rack up 176 targets, which would be a career high, and while he probably won't come close to that, Witten is proving that he can still serve as a capable TE1 in any fantasy league.

Cowboys | Dak Prescott to play Week 3

Tue, 19 Sep 2017 09:26:22 -0700

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (ankle) will be "ready to go" for Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, according to general manager/owner Jerry Jones, after suffering a minor ankle injury in a Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Prescott looked as though he could have hurt his knee when he was twisted awkwardly on a tackle at the end of a scramble in the first quarter, but it turned out to be his ankle and he did not miss any snaps after getting it rewrapped. The Cardinals pose yet another difficult matchup for the Cowboys, but Prescott has accounted well for himself so far and should be counted to produce like a low-end QB1 on Monday night.

Cowboys | Dak Prescott has ankle injury

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 14:58:56 -0700

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in the Cowboys' Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos, according to head coach Jason Garrett.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the ankle ailment, Prescott put together a solid game even in a blowout loss. The injury doesn't sound serious enough to threaten any game time, but monitor Prescott's status throughout the week to be certain.

Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott stay request denied

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 10:26:49 -0700

Updating an ongoing story, Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott's suspension remains on hold after the NFL's request for a stay in the case was denied Monday, Sept. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Elliott is expected to play against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3, and he's coming off a rough game. It's a tough matchup, but he remains a high-end RB1 option.

Cowboys | Terrance Williams doesn't do much

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 20:48:01 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams hauled in four balls in Week 2 against the Broncos, but he managed just 17 yards on his five targets.

Fantasy Tip: Williams led the way in Week 1 against the Giants, but his statistics reflected his status on the depth chart better in this one. He is the fourth option in the pass game behind Dez Bryant, Cole Beasley and Jason Witten, and perhaps even fifth behind Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys meet the Cardinals in Week 3 on Monday night. Williams is nothing more than a WR5 at this point in most fantasy formats.

Cowboys | Cole Beasley finishes with four grabs

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 20:47:23 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley racked up four receptions for 33 yards on eight targets in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Beasley is a solid slot receiver and nice WR3/4 in PPR fantasy formats, although the Dallas pass game was mostly shut down early on. Beasley will look for better results in Week 3 against the Cardinals on the road Monday night.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant gets into the end zone

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 20:46:53 -0700

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant racked up seven receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Broncos and he was targeted a game-high 16 times.

Fantasy Tip: Dak Prescott tried to find Bryant frequently, but Aqib Talib and the Denver secondary did a fairly decent job of keeping Bryant from making a difference when the game was still close. He'll look to find the end zone again in Week 3 at Arizona on Monday Night Football.
