Fantasy Tip: West was ahead of Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson, etc., but it is still well early in the battle. This will be a situation to watch closely all throughout training camp and into the preseason.

Cleveland Browns WR Dwayne Bowe (knee) left practice Tuesday, June 2, due to a tweaked knee, but the injury is not believed to be serious. He limped off the field midway through the two-hour organized team activities (OTAs) practice. Head coach Mike Pettine said he might be sidelined until Thursday, June 4.
Fantasy Tip: Bowe’s injury does not sound serious and he is expected to be just fine. The quarterback situation in Cleveland is a bit murky, but Bowe has the opportunity to shine in this offense if he can stay healthy and re-emerge as a force like his early days in Kansas City. Fantasy owners should take a late-round flier on him, but have plenty of depth at the position.

Cleveland Browns WR Vince Mayle (thumb) is still wearing a cast on his surgically repaired thumb. He was lining up and running routes Tuesday, June 2, at organized team activities (OTAs), but not catching passes. He is expected to be a full participant in training camp.
Fantasy Tip: The rookie out Washington State was a force in Mike Leach’s up-tempo offense, but it remains to be seen in the fourth-round pick will be as effective in the slower-paced Cleveland scheme. He has some upside, but fantasy owners in seasonal leagues likely won’t want to bother with him for now.

Fantasy Tip: The good news is Johnson’s absence was not due to injury, something he has had some issue with in the past. The Cleveland backfield is crowded, but Johnson could carve out a piece of the pie for himself with a strong training camp and preseason. Prospective fantasy owners will want to watch the situation closely.

Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel was involved in an altercation with a fan on Saturday, May 30, at a PGA event. Manziel reportedly threw a water bottle at a fan who had been harassing him for an autograph.
Fantasy Tip: According to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, it appears the fan was in the wrong here as he was constantly harassing and grabbing at Manziel. The embattled Browns QB needs to rid himself of stuff like this if he is to become a truly good player in the league.

Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown said the lack of quarterback competition helps the team overall. "More than anything, for me, I just believe it takes away from any kind of distraction that you can have and the team can just move in one direction, regardless of who that guy is,'' McCown said. "It's helpful to just say, 'this is our guy until something happens and he's not our guy.'"
Fantasy Tip: McCown is set to open the season as the starter, but a conservative offensive game plan and minimal weapons to throw to make him a low-end QB2 with little upside.

Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown appears to have been anointed the starting quarterback, and it does not look like he will be facing any competition during training camp. The team is looking for a quarterback that is willing to play within the offense and not do anything daring to make a play on their own.
Fantasy Tip: McCown likely will be the starter since he is more careful with the ball and does not try to make big plays on his own. McCown will have some weapons to work with on offense but should not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in deeper leagues.

Fantasy Tip: McCown has minimal value as a low-end QB2, but it appears Johnny Manziel has virtually no chance to win the starting job barring injury.

Cleveland Browns C Alex Mack (leg) was limited at organized team activities Tuesday, May 26, as he continues to recover from a broken leg he suffered last season. "Alex is ready to go," head coach Mike Pettine said. "He'll be able to do anything where there's no risk of a collision or getting tripped up."

Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin is expected to have a great year as a punt returner in 2015, according to special teams coordinator Chris Tabor. Tabor said he believes Benjamin struggled in the role last season because he was coming back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
