Cleveland Browns impending free-agent WR Terrelle Pryor could receive the transition tag this offseason. The two sides are trying to work out a long-term deal, but the team has not given Pryor an indication on what they will decide.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor wants to stay with the Browns, so there is a good chance he will sign a new deal with the team. He played well in 2016 but did have to play with multiple quarterbacks during the season because of injuries. Pryor will be the No. 1 receiver for the Browns next season and could be a No. 3 fantasy receiver depending on the Browns' quarterback situation.

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson was targeted 74 times this past season, placing him fifth amongst running backs in that category. He turned those targets into 53 receptions for 514 yards, though he did not record a receiving touchdown.
Fantasy Tip: To be fair, if Theo Riddick didn't miss six games, he easily would've bumped Johnson outside the top-five, but regardless, the second-year Browns tailback proved he can be a solid hand in deep and PPR formats. He also averaged nearly five yards per carry, registering 358 rushing yards on 73 attempts. It's too bad Isaiah Crowell is firmly entrenched as the club's No. 1 running back, but Johnson at least manages to have a regular role in Hue Jackson's offense.

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo appears to be the top target for Cleveland Browns this offseason, in the opinion of The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot. The Browns could consider quarterbacks like Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo and Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent QB Mike Glennon if they are not able to acquire Garoppolo.
Fantasy Tip: The Browns have two first-round picks in the 2017 draft, so they should have the pieces to move if they want to acquire Garoppolo. He played well when he served as the starter for the Patriots this past season but has not receive a lot of playing time during his career. Garoppolo would only be a No. 2 quarterback if he is traded to the Cleveland.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns have a lot of salary cap space available, so they should be able to give Pryor a lucrative contract this offseason. Pryor has posted solid numbers over the last two season and can be considered a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues next season.

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent WR Terrelle Pryor has instructed his agents, Drew and Jason Rosenhaus, of his desire to remain in Cleveland. The agents will travel to Cleveland this week to conduct "strong discussions" about a new contract. Pryor stated his desire to continue the rebuilding process in Cleveland under head coach Hue Jackson.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor has all the potential in the world, and he played well through a messy quarterback situation -- even with a broken hand. While the signal-caller situation may be a little unsettling at this point, Pryor is blossoming as a wideout and can make up for deficiencies in the nuances with raw athleticism. He is a quality WR2 gamble in fantasy drafts should the Browns re-up the former quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns probably will look at Jimmy Garoppolo and Tyrod Taylor this offseason, but Glennon could receive interest from teams looking for a starting quarterback. He has some success early in his career but has played in only two games in the last two seasons. Owners in all leagues can avoid Glennon in drafts no matter where he signs.

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor is liked "a lot" by new Cleveland Browns quarterbacks coach David Lee, who spent the past two years coaching Taylor in Buffalo. In addition, Lee would "welcome continuing to work with him."
Fantasy Tip: Taylor's status with the Bills is still up in the air, as he's due a lot of guaranteed money and the team hasn't yet decided their course of action. Furthermore, Taylor isn't willing to take a pay cut. Thus, there is a decent chance he could be released, and if that happens, the Browns look like a good fit for the dual-threat quarterback. Even though the Browns are coming off a 1-15 campaign, they could still provide Taylor with a solid amount of ammo to keep him fantasy relevant.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor is one of the better receivers that will be a free agent this offseason, but the Browns could place the franchise tag on Pryor if they are not able to reach a long-term agreement with him. He could be a No. 3 receiver for fantasy owners depending on the Browns quarterback situation.

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo would provide a "bright" future at the quarterback spot for the Cleveland Browns, according to free-agent QB Josh McCown. "I've seen him on tape because we had a common opponent in Miami,'' McCown said. "He made some high level throws and did some things that would get you excited about his ability to maybe carry a franchise."
Fantasy Tip: Garoppolo's is an intriguing, albeit unproven, quarterback option, but Cleveland wouldn't be an ideal destination as far as his fantasy value is concerned.
