Mon, 27 Jul 2015 13:17:02 -0700

Browns | Duke Johnson can perform immediately

Mon, 27 Jul 2015 11:45:47 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson has the ability to step in and perform at a high level right away, according to head coach Mike Pettine.

Fantasy Tip: Johnson is just one piece of the Browns' running backs puzzle this year. Isaiah Crowell is expected to be the lead back to start the season, but Terrance West and Johnson are too talented to keep off the field for too long. Who knows who will end up seeing the lion's share of touches out the backfield, but Crowell and Johnson probably have the highest ceiling.

Browns | Johnny Manziel works with Jon Gruden

Sat, 25 Jul 2015 08:07:58 -0700

Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel recently worked with former NFL head coach Jon Gruden in hopes of improving his film work and mechanics, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Manziel is expected to have a chance to compete for the starting quarterback job, but Josh McCown will be the heavy favorite entering training camp. Manziel likely would not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he were able to win the job.

Browns | Duke Johnson won't start right away

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 15:58:52 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson will play a prominent role in Cleveland's offense in his rookie year, but RB Isaiah Crowell is still the favorite to start. Johnson is also the most capable pass-catcher in the trio of Johnson, Crowell and RB Terrence West, according to Nate Ulrich of The Akron Beacon Journal.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns' backfield certainly has the makings of a three-headed monster. Crowell and West will probably do most of the running, while Johnson should be used most of the three in the passing game. Any one of them could end up as a RB2. Crowell will have the most value right away, but Johnson may have the most upside.

Browns | Danny Shelton a three-down player?

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 09:38:16 -0700

Cleveland Browns DT Danny Shelton has the potential to become a three-down player even though he posted a slow time in the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, according to defensive line coach Anthony Weaver. "I think he has all the potential in the world to be a three-down player. The way he can collapse the pocket in pass rush will make more success for our edge [rushers]. He plays the game with a type of energy that you just can't fake," Weaver said.

Browns | CLE could ride hot hand at RB

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 13:57:17 -0700

Cleveland Browns RBs Isaiah Crowell, Terrance West and Duke Johnson are expected to make up a three-headed committee this season in the backfield. Offensive coordinator John DeFilippo has said there won't be a specific method for how touches are distributed, but Crowell is expected to begin the season as the starter.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell, West and Johnson all have the ability to be Cleveland's starting running back. Crowell and West both had stellar rookie campaigns in 2014, and Johnson has impressed everyone in his first offseason out of the University of Miami (Fla.). Crowell should be selected first in drafts, but this backfield could turn into a crapshoot.

Browns | Glenn Winston to be fourth RB?

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 13:35:09 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Glenn Winston may be the favorite to be the last running back on the final roster, if the Browns do keep four running backs. Winston has impressed coaches this offseason and could beat out fellow RBs Shaun Draughn and Luke Lundy.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell more confident

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 13:31:07 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell said he feels more confident heading into his second season. The second-year running back said he felt too anxious last year and that he can be more relaxed now that he has a year of professional football under his belt.

Fantasy Tip: It will be interesting to see how snaps are split up between the Browns' running backs, mainly Crowell, Terrance West and rookie Duke Johnson. All three are worth at least a middle-round pick this year, but Crowell should be taken first and considered in RB3 territory.

Browns | Andrew Hawkins may make impact

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 07:23:59 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Andrew Hawkins could have an impact this season since offensive coordinator John DeFilippo's offense features more catch-and-run opportunities.

Fantasy Tip: Hawkins likely will be the slot receiver for the Browns this season and should have a solid role in the passing game. Hawkins could be a sleeper option in the late rounds of deeper drafts this season.
