Fantasy Tip: Kessler will not be cleared until he passes all of his concussion tests, so his status for Week 8 is uncertain. Kevin Hogan appears to be the most likely candidate to start if Kessler is ruled out but should not be an option in any fantasy league.

Fantasy Tip: Coleman is working his way back but may miss at least one more week if he is not able to catch passes at this point. He should have a solid role in the passing game when he returns, but owners may want to see him play in a game before using him in their lineups.

Fantasy Tip: While he probably wouldn't be a wise choice to start in fantasy, he'd be a clear upgrade to what the team has. McCown had a stretch of fantasy viability early on last season so keep him on your watch lists if you have a starter with a late bye week.

Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler (concussion) has proven his toughness and must try to better protect himself, according to head coach Hue Jackson. "I don't want to take the fight out of him, but he also has to understand the situation he's in," Jackson said. Kessler left the Browns' Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with a concussion. "If you're not playing, then we're hurting the team," Jackson added. "I don't think Cody was trying to do anything to hurt his football team. He was trying to do everything he could to help his team score."
Fantasy Tip: Kessler is only a rookie and has been thrown to the wolves due to injuries, but he has taken a beaten in his young inaugural campaign. It's unclear if Kessler will be cleared from the concussion protocol in time for Sunday's game, but the Browns will leave for London on Thursday. If Kessler doesn't make that trip then he won't be playing. Either way, starting a Cleveland quarterback is still highly ill advised.

Fantasy Tip: Coleman has missed the last five weeks because of his broken hand but may be able to return to the field soon. He likely will rejoin the starting lineup when he is able to play again and could be a flex option in deeper leagues.

Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler (concussion) was reportedly feeling good a few hours after suffering a concussion in a Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and is holding out hope to play in Week 8 against the New York Jets.
Fantasy Tip: Kessler makes for a fine streaming option this week if he is cleared early enough, but he is probably only an option in two-quarterback leagues since there aren't many notable quarterbacks going on bye this week. Stay tuned for more updates on his status throughout the week.

Fantasy Tip: McCown's possible return has taken on added importance since rookie starter Cody Kessler was diagnosed with a concussion Sunday. Either McCown or Kessler, if cleared, would be a fine streaming option against the Jets, although there aren't too many notable fantasy quarterbacks taking a break this week despite six teams going on a bye.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Pryor's hamstring injury limited him or if the team's quarterback situation was the reason for disappointing performance. Pryor can still be considered a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in some leagues, but his value will depend on the team's starting quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: Barnidge has still not been able find the end zone but has been posting solid numbers no matter which quarterback is throwing to him. He can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most leagues and has more value in point-per-reception leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell received the majority of the carries during the game and should continue to be main runner for the Browns moving forward. He should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back or a flex option in most leagues.
