Fantasy Tip: Cameron hasn't been much of a factor in the offense this year, and his injury hasn't helped. As he gets closer to full health, though, he could start to show us more glimpses of what he was last season. Until he's more involved, though, he's a risky play at FantasyScore.

Cleveland Browns WR Marlon Moore (illness) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 1. DE Desmond Bryant (gluteus, wrist) and OT Joe Thomas (non-injury) were limited, while LB Barkevious Mingo (shoulder) and CB Buster Skrine (thumb) practiced in full.

Fantasy Tip: Tate may be able to return to the lineup this week but will have to share snaps with Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell. Tate has a price of $4,600 on FantasyScore this week, but owners may want to consider using a running back that is not part of a committee.

Fantasy Tip: Cameron has only three catches on the season for a combined eight yards. It's safe to say his injury, coupled with the loss of offensive coordinator Norv Turner, is responsible for his slow start. He has a great matchup against the Tennessee Titans this weekend, but it's probably best to avoid him at FantasyScore for the time being.

Cleveland Browns RB Ben Tate (knee) returned to practice Tuesday, Sept. 30, for the first time since spraining his right knee in the season opener Sept. 7. It means that Tate is likely to return to action in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. He's expected to return to the starting lineup, too, despite the solid play of RBs Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell in his absence. "That's what we brought Tate here for, to be the starter," running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery said last week. "He's the No. 1 running back in this offense. Right now, you can say we miss him. We miss his experience. We miss his leadership with the group. Speaking from that standpoint, we'll be open arms and welcome to have Ben back into the fold." Tate was wearing a brace on his knee while doing individual drills Tuesday.
Fantasy Tip: Tate will likely start against the Titans, but there'll still probably be a rotation in the backfield to keep him fresh in his first start back, and Crowell could continue to see goal-line looks. At FantasyScore, Tate will cost you only $4,600 (9.2% of cap), but there are probably better options available.

Fantasy Tip: Hoyer has put up solid numbers so far this season and probably will continue to keep the job as long as he is productive. Hoyer likely is not a weekly option for owners, but he could be an option this week against the Tennessee Titans. Owners on FantasyScore could consider using Hoyer if they want to spend more money at other positions.

Cleveland Browns RB Terrance West has been getting starts with RB Ben Tate (knee) on the sidelines, but Tate is healthy and RB Isaiah Crowell is looking for more touches. West received the second reps in the media portion of practice Wednesday, Sept. 24, following Crowell. Running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery also indicated Tate was brought in to be the starter and that Tate is "the No. 1 running back in this offense."
Fantasy Tip: The emergence of Crowell and return of Tate is not good news for the short-term fantasy appeal of West. However, over the long term, he has some tremendous upside. Right now, he should only be relied upon as an RB3 or flex play in leagues of 12 or more teams. For FantasyScore purposes, the RB picture is too muddled to risk using any Cleveland runner.

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell is looking for more work, and head coach Mike Pettine suggested the rookie might get his wish. In practice Wednesday, Sept. 25, Crowell worked with the first team for a portion of practice open to the media, with RB Terrance West going second and RB Ben Tate (knee) riding a stationary bike. "If a guy's been productive, you find ways to get him on the field more," Pettine said. "That's a good problem to have. When you have a back, who before the season you weren't factoring in on being a big part of what you're doing, and he's being productive, you find ways to get him out there."
Fantasy Tip: Crowell has been fantastic when given the opportunity, but the backfield picture in Cleveland is a bit murky right now. Tate, when healthy, will be given chances, as well as the rookie West. For now, standard fantasy owners will want to use Crowell only as an RB3 or flex play. He has the most upside, but there are only so many touches to go around when three backs are healthy.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns RB Ben Tate (knee) is expected to return to a starting role when he is healthy enough to play, according to running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery. However, RB Isaiah Crowell seems destined for a bigger role. "That's what we brought Tate here for, to be the starter," Montgomery said. "He's the No. 1 running back in this offense. Right now, you can say we miss him. We miss his experience. We miss his leadership with the group. Speaking from that standpoint, we'll be open arms and welcome to have Ben back into the fold."
Fantasy Tip: Tate has been productive in the past in Houston, but he has had a hard time staying healthy during his career. Rookies Terrance West and Crowell have stepped up in Tate's absence, and his fantasy appeal has definitely decreased as a result of the play of the two rookies. The entire backfield picture is a bit muddled right now, and Crowell actually looks to have the most upside at this juncture.

Cleveland Browns wide receivers coach Mike McDaniel is convinced WR Josh Gordon's most recent suspension made him realize he must stay on the straight and narrow to return to the field. "There's no question in my mind," McDaniel said Wednesday, Sept. 25. "Now do I think originally he understand the ramifications of his actions before he ever had a slip-up? Probably not, but it happens as it goes. That's one thing I've really been taken aback by is how much responsibility he's definitely taking, and he needs to continue to take."
Fantasy Tip: Gordon is eligible to return in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons. Fantasy owners are hoping Gordon really does get it, and can be a huge addition down the stretch and into the fantasy playoffs.

Fantasy Tip: Hawkins has proven to be extremely valuable in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues thanks to the volume of targets he's been getting. This trend could change if Johnny Manziel is eventually named starter or when Josh Gordon returns later on this season, but Hawkins is definitely worth starting every week in PPR scoring leagues.

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden needs make more big plays, according to head coach Mike Pettine. "He's played well at times, but as you can see, at some inopportune times he's not played well,'' said Pettine. "I think he'll admit that, as well. That's what we talk about. The great ones are going to make big plays when it's needed, and I think that's one area where Joe will look to improve."
