Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross (shoulder), who underwent labrum surgery following the NFL Combine, indicated he'd be cleared to practice in July, and head coach Marvin Lewis said he should be ready to go near the start of the season.
Fantasy Tip: There were whispers that Ross' stock was sliding entering the draft due to a history of medical issues -- he missed all of 2015 with ACL and meniscus injuries, and he previously underwent microfracture surgery -- but the Bengals felt his speed and potential were too great to pass up. Now they'll cross their fingers and hope he can stay healthy. There's undeniable potential opposite A.J. Green, but it seems like a lot to ask for Ross to heal up and then beat out holdovers Tyler Boyd and Cody Core. Still, he has some late-round potential.

Fantasy Tip: Ross will compete for playing time with Tyler Boyd and Cody Core during training camp and probably will see most of his playing time on special teams as a rookie. He could have a role as a deep threat during the season. He should be considered a No. 5 receiver in the short term but can become a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in the long term.

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) said that while his back "feels great" after offseason surgery, he doesn't know if he'll be ready in time for training camp. "I don't know," Eifert stated. "I'll have to see how I'm feeling and go from there. I've still lost a lot of strength with the nerve issues and all of that stuff. Just working through some of that. Once I get my strength back I'll be fine."
Fantasy Tip: Only about a week ago, it seemed Eifert would indeed be healthy enough by the time training camp rolls around, but now his status looks to be up in the air. It's definitely concerning, considering the 26-year-old missed eight games last season, but hopefully it doesn't affect his status going into Week 1. He's still worth the investment in drafts as a TE1 for his mega potential to lead all players at his position.

Fantasy Tip: After a couple of down years, Hill could see a reduction in carries. However, he should still receive most of the work around the goal line and at least remain a quality flex option.
