Bengals | Jeremy Hill has eight touches

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 19:55:20 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill finished with seven carries for 23 yards and one catch for six yards in a 27-24 loss to Green Bay Packers in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Hill saw 11 fewer carries than Joe Mixon, and he seems to be falling further behind the rookie. At this point, Hill is only worth stashing in case Mixon goes down with an injury.

Bengals | Joe Mixon logs 18 carries

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 19:38:14 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon finished with a team-high 18 carries for 62 yards and three catches for 39 yards in a 27-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Mixon had 11 more carries than Jeremy Hill, the biggest discrepancy so far this season. It's too soon to tell if the trend will continue, but the needle is pointing up for Mixon, and he could soon find himself entrenched as a RB2.

Bengals | A.J. Green has 10 grabs, 111 yards

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 19:30:47 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green finished with 10 catches on 13 yards for 111 yards and a touchdown in a 27-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Green's status as the top option in the passing game is unquestioned, but it was still good to see the Cincinnati offense look competent for the first time all season. Green remains a WR1 in all formats.

Bengals | Andy Dalton safe for now

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 07:23:58 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton is not in any imminent danger of losing his starting job, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton has struggled in the first two games this season and has zero touchdowns and four interceptions during that span. He has a solid group of pass catchers to work with and could improve under a new offensive coordinator, but owners in all leagues should avoid him for now.

Bengals | Bigger role expected for Joe Mixon

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 07:18:14 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon is expected to receive a bigger role in the offense under new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Mixon has not been a big factor on offense so far this season with 45 rushing yards and 20 receiving yards in two games. He could become the starting running back in the near future but likely will still have to share work with Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard. Mixon has the potential to be a productive fantasy option and can be at least a flex option if he receives the majority of the touches.

Bengals | Andy Dalton, OC hoping to sync up

Sat, 23 Sep 2017 18:36:12 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton and new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor are not yet at the point where they are speaking the same "language," according to Lazor. "The challenge here right now is making things come out of my mouth real smooth," Lazor said. "I can't have any errors."

Fantasy Tip: Dalton and the entire Cincinnati offense have been a mess through the first two games. You can give him a couple more weeks to turn things around before sending him to the waiver wire, but he shouldn't be starting in any format against the Packers in Week 3.

Bengals | Tyler Kroft set for bigger workload

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 15:35:45 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Kroft is expected to see an increase in targets in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers with TE Tyler Eifert (back, knee) ruled out.

Fantasy Tip: Kroft isn't a terribly attractive fantasy play, although he could be worth a look in the deepest of leagues for his work in the red zone if you need an emergency replacement for Eifert. Kroft might be a nice salary saver in DFS play, too.

Bengals | Cincy rules out three, two questionable

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 13:24:30 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back), OG Trey Hopkins (knee) and WR John Ross (illness) did not practice Friday, Sept. 22, and have been ruled out for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers. S Derron Smith (ankle) did not practice and is questionable. DE Michael Johnson (concussion, stinger) is questionable and fully practiced. CB KeiVarae Russell (hamstring) was limited Friday but has been removed from the injury report. DT Geno Atkins (shoulder), OT Jake Fisher (illness) and OT Cedric Ogbuehi (illness) practiced in full and are not listed on the report.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert ruled out

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 09:27:04 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back, knee) has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: It's an expected outcome after missing practice all week, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating for his fantasy owners. Already one of the league's most injury-prone players, Eifert produced only four catches for 46 scoreless yards in his first two games. Owners should not hesitate moving on from him if they need the room on their roster or, at the very least, add a player like Benjamin Watson or Zach Miller to help them through Eifert's absence. Cincinnati will use C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Kroft to replace him.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert out of Friday practice

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 08:41:42 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back, knee) is out of practice Friday, Sept. 22, and unlikely to play in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Tyler Kroft figures to take over, but the entire offense has been a mess this season. Look elsewhere for a tight end in fantasy.

Bengals | John Ross injured at practice

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 23:28:27 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross (knee) "tweaked" his knee during the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 21, and he'll likely require an MRI.

Fantasy Tip: Ross, who missed Week 1 with a knee injury and sat out Wednesday's practice due to illness, apparently walked off under his own power without a noticeable limp. Ross had "lottery ticket" potential given Green Bay's secondary troubles in Atlanta, but this certainly throws his Week 3 status into serious doubt.
