Bengals | Andy Dalton takes part in practice

Thu, 19 Oct 2017 11:32:36 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton has thrown for at least 285 yards in each of his last two games but will be facing a tough Pittsburgh Steelers pass defense this week. Owners should be able to find better options to use and can avoid Dalton in Week 7.

Bengals | Andy Dalton practices in full

Wed, 18 Oct 2017 13:22:49 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (ankle) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton will be facing a stiff test in Week 7 against the Steelers and their No. 1 ranked pass defense, as Pittsburgh has yielded just 153.5 yards per game with four touchdowns and five interceptions through six games. Dalton looks like he will definitely play, but he is not a recommended fantasy option.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert done in Cincinnati?

Sat, 14 Oct 2017 20:14:11 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back), who is out for the year, will be a free agent after this season, and Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer believes Eifert has played his last game for the franchise.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert has been a monster in the red zone when healthy, but his career has been repeatedly stalled by injuries. He will be worth drafting wherever he plays next year, but don't count on him playing all 16 games.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert placed on IR

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 12:27:32 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Oct. 12. Eifert will undergo surgery Thursday and will miss the rest of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Another Tyler will take over as the starting tight end for the Bengals: Tyler Kroft. He is a worthy pickup for those who are in a tight spot at the position, but don't rely on him as an every-week starter as opposed to Eifert.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert will undergo surgery

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 17:24:59 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) is scheduled to undergo season-ending back surgery Thursday, Oct. 12, and will be sidelined for four to six months, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Tyler Kroft likely will be the starting tight end for the Bengals for the rest of the season and has played well over the last few weeks. He can be a No. 2 tight end in most fantasy leagues and can be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end against certain opponents.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert could be out for year

Wed, 11 Oct 2017 13:51:32 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) is considering undergoing another surgery on his back that would end his season, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Death, taxes and Tyler Eifert not playing a full season. The oft-injured tight end has never played a full 16-game season in his five-year career and has only played 10 games the last two seasons. If he does have the surgery then he can be dropped in traditional leagues. Names like George Kittle, Tyler Kroft or Ed Dickson can be picked up to replace Eifert in such a case.

Bengals | A.J. Green beat the jam in Week 5

Tue, 10 Oct 2017 18:41:56 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green earned the highest passer rating for all receivers when pressed at the line of scrimmage in Week 5 at 153.3, per NFL Next Gen Stats.

Fantasy Tip: To put that number into some perspective, 158.3 is considered a perfect passer rating in the NFL. The Miami Dolphins' Jarvis Landry came in second at 129.2. It's more proof Green is about as good as it gets at receiver and disproves the notion the angular 29-year-old isn't strong enough to beat physical coverage. He's obviously an every-week starter in fantasy.

Bengals | Tyler Boyd suffers MCL injury

Mon, 09 Oct 2017 11:13:10 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd (knee) is expected to miss a few weeks after being diagnosed with a sprained right MCL on Sunday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Boyd has six catches in four games and seems to be in the doghouse anyway, so his absence isn't a big one for owners. Alex Erickson and Cody Core will be in line for more snaps as a result, but they can be ignored in fantasy as well.
