Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford is a more physical runner than impending free-agent RB Matt Forte, according to the team's former scouting director Greg Gabriel, but Gabriel said Langford will likely never be the receiver that Forte is.
Fantasy Tip: As long as the Bears don't add another quality back during the offseason, Langford should enter 2016 as the starting back, and he projects as a serviceable RB2.

Former Rutgers offensive coordinator Ben McDaniels has been named the offensive quality control coach of the Chicago Bears. He is the brother of New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Fantasy Tip: Forte has been one of the most versatile backs in the league throughout his career, but his status as a reliable RB1 could change depending on where he lands in free agency.

Fantasy Tip: Forte just turned 30 and has ran the ball 2,035 times in his eight-year career. He still has productivity left in him, but his next destination he's likely to share more backfield work. Forte excels catching the ball out of the backfield, so he's still more attractive in point-per-reception leagues, depending on where he lands.

Fantasy Tip: Langford had 148 carries for 537 yards (3.6 yards per carry) and six touchdowns in 2015. He also had a 22-279-1 receiving line. Unless the team adds another running back, Langford pegs as an RB2 in his second season.

Fantasy Tip: Even at 30 years old, Forte still has the ability to be a PPR RB1 in the right system. He averaged 4.1 yards per carry last season, which was up from the previous season. Unless Forte lands in a 50-50 committee, he's still worth consideration as a low-end RB1.

Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott said being drafted by the Chicago Bears would be his ideal scenario. "My running back coach my sophomore year is Stan Drayton and he's up at the Chicago Bears right now, so that would be a dream situation for me honestly," Elliott said. "I know if I went up there he'd push me to the limits that I need to be and I'd accomplish everything I want to in my NFL career."
Fantasy Tip: Elliott is arguably the most complete back in the draft, and in the right situation, he could be a flex option as a rookie.

Fantasy Tip: Prior to playing 15 games last year, Miller had not appeared in a regular-season game since 2011. Despite his breakout second half, the Bears are likely to look at other options - including perhaps bringing back Martellus Bennett at roughly the same price - if Miller's asking price does not drop. If Miller remains in Chicago and Bennett does not, he has low-end TE1 potential. If both stick around, the 31-year-old journeyman would be a high-upside fantasy backup at best.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is too valuable to not re-sign with the Bears this offseason, according to ESPNChicago.com's Jeff Dickerson. Dickerson said Chicago can't afford to let Jeffery leave, especially since they drafted and developed him. If Jeffery and the Bears can't agree on a deal, then Jeffery could receive the franchise tag.
Fantasy Tip: Jeffery is coming off an injury-plagued 2015 season, but he was dynamite when he played, and he was extremely productive in the two previous seasons in which he was healthy. The injuries are a concern, but Jeffery is a fringe WR1 when healthy.

Fantasy Tip: Forte has shown signs of age at 30 years old, but he's still a valuable back in PPR leagues. If he can latch on with a team with at least a timeshare role, he'll be a low-end RB2 in fantasy at minimum.
