Bears | Tarik Cohen must improve as blocker

Fri, 25 May 2018 21:22:44 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen could "no doubt" serve as the third-down back if he can prove to be a capable blocker, according to running backs coach Charles London.

Fantasy Tip: Cohen was able to deliver several explosive plays last year when given playing time, and if he can secure a steady role, he could be a flex option in PPR formats. Keep tabs on the situation throughout the summer.

Bears | Jordan Howard to be factor in passing game?

Fri, 25 May 2018 10:21:19 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Jordan Howard is working on some issues to help him become a better receiver out of the backfield, according to new running backs coach Charles London, who mentioned hand placement, focus and concentration and hand-eye coordination as some of the areas he is hoping to see improvement.

Fantasy Tip: The ability to contribute much as a receiver has been Howard's one fatal flaw when it comes to taking the next step and becoming a potential elite fantasy starter. With all the skill-position talent they now have on the roster, the Bears should be able to open things up for the running game, which should make the third-year back's job as easy as it has ever been. Even if he loses a few more snaps to Tarik Cohen, Howard is primed to enjoy the best fantasy season of his career in 2018.

Bears | Kevin White not setting goals

Thu, 24 May 2018 19:47:02 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White said he isn't worried about his fifth-year option being declined and believes "anything" is possible for him this season.

Fantasy Tip: White has been a monumental bust up to this point, and he's been unable to stay healthy enough to even take the field. He'll be no more than a Hail Mary pick in the final rounds of drafts.

Bears | Anthony Miller penciled in at the slot

Wed, 23 May 2018 08:18:10 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller is earmarked to be the slot receiver in the offense.

Fantasy Tip: Miller is coming off a foot injury, and they'll be cautious with him in camp. He has a chance to be a buzzworthy WR5 flyer.

Bears | Adam Shaheen draws praise

Thu, 17 May 2018 18:18:02 -0700

Chicago Bears TE Adam Shaheen's skill set fits the offense, according to head coach Matt Nagy.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears signed Trey Burton in the offseason, and he figures to be the top option at tight end. Shaheen has great physical tools, but he remains a project and is only worth stashing in dynasty formats at this point.

Bears | Coach excited about Tarik Cohen

Wed, 16 May 2018 20:33:57 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen is a player that head coach Matt Nagy is excited to work with this upcoming season. "You see how he is in the meeting rooms he listens to the play and when he comes out here how serious he is and he knows how to have fun. He's a player that for me, you get giddy about," Nagy said.

Fantasy Tip: Cohen should have a solid role in the offense and will be involved in the running and passing game in 2018. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 running back in point-per-reception leagues and a possible flex option in standard leagues.

Bears | Allen Robinson where he needs to be

Wed, 16 May 2018 12:26:09 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson (knee) is ahead of the game and looking good as he continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered in Week 1 last year. Head coach Matt Nagy said the Bears feel good about Robinson's prognosis and that he won't need to be rushed back.

Fantasy Tip: Robinson is ready for a rebound season with a new team and a fresh start. He will immediately step in and serve as Mitch Trubisky's No. 1 target on an otherwise lackluster receiving corps. If Trubisky can improve and be consistent, Robinson has top 15 fantasy WR potential.

Bears | Anthony Miller a complete receiver?

Sun, 13 May 2018 20:21:12 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller said he isn't afraid of the "physical element" of the game and is a willing blocker in the running game.

Fantasy Tip: Contributing in the running game will certainly help Miller's chances of playing early, and the rookie could serve as the No. 3 receiver this year. He will be a late-round flier, at best, in redraft leagues, but he's an attractive option in keeper formats.

Bears | Anthony Miller to be limited

Fri, 11 May 2018 14:45:12 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (foot) will not participate in team drills during the rookie minicamp this week because he is coming off a foot injury. He has recovered from the injury, but the team wants to be cautious.

Fantasy Tip: Miller could be limited during offseason workouts but should be fine for training camp. He probably will serve as the No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for the Bears as a rookie and has a chance to be a late-round pick in deeper leagues. He will be a solid selection in keeper leagues.
