Bears | Jared Allen remains confident

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 18:34:14 -0700

Chicago Bears DE Jared Allen arrived at training camp Wednesday, July 29, full of energy and confidence. Allen has readied himself for a potential move to right end, "Three years ago, if you had tried to make me switch my position, I would've quit," Allen said. "Honestly, because I was a knucklehead and I would've been like, 'No, I'm a right end, and I'm going to go up against the left tackle … But coming off a year where I dealt with injuries and being sick and my production numbers were down, it kind of clears your mind. This game will humble you. However it does it, it will humble you," said Allen.

Bears | Jay Cutler impressing coaches

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 17:52:26 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler has impressed head coach John Fox with his attitude off the field, but Fox maintained that they're in a performance-based business, Wednesday, July 29. "No matter what we say about anybody, it's gonna come down to how we perform on Sundays or Mondays or whenever they line us up," said Fox. Cutler also spoke highly of Fox, and said he appreciates Fox's straight-shooting demeanor.

Fantasy Tip: Cutler entered his seventh training camp with the Bears, but he'll have a shorter leash than possibly ever before. Fantasy owners can consider Cutler as a late-round flier in standard leagues, as his starting job will be entirely dependent on his ability to keep possession of the football.

Bears | Kevin White to go on PUP list

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 12:18:46 -0700

Chicago Bears rookie WR Kevin White (shin) will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to general manager Ryan Pace.

Fantasy Tip: When White was drafted with the seventh overall pick, he was expected to start opposite Alshon Jeffery. While he could still very well start when the regular season begins, the Bears might want to take a safe route in order for White to fully recover. He should still be drafted as a WR4, but keep tabs on his injury.

Bears | Eddie Royal to be third starting WR?

Thu, 23 Jul 2015 13:42:10 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal is expected to be the Bears' third starting wide receiver, according to's Jeff Dickerson.

Fantasy Tip: It seems like the ideal situation for the Bears at wide receiver would be to start Alshon Jeffery and Kevin White on the outside with Royal playing in the slot. Royal was a hit or miss player with the San Diego Chargers, but he could end up being an under-the-radar player in PPR leagues.

Bears | Kevin White projected to start

Thu, 23 Jul 2015 13:38:23 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White is slated to be in the Bears' starting lineup, according to Jeff Dickerson of White had spent time with the second team during organized team activities earlier this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: It shouldn't be a huge surprise if White ends up starting, especially since Chicago spent their seventh overall pick on him in the NFL Draft. While there may still be some kinks to work out at first, White could at least end up in WR4 territory at season's end.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery working out

Sat, 18 Jul 2015 14:53:44 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery has been working out with former teammate and now New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall. The two remain close friends and have been working out at Fit Speed Athletic Performance in Chicago.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery can certainly still learn from the veteran Marshall. Jeffery is the far more appealing fantasy option for 2015, but Marshall has value as a late-round pick, as he'll be the No. 1 option for the Jets.

Bears | Jay Cutler running out of time

Sat, 18 Jul 2015 14:41:13 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler may need to win in 2015 to stay in Chicago, suggests Jeff Dickerson of ESPN. Cutler has over $47 million guaranteed remaining on his contract, but the Bears could move on if Cutler struggles again in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Cutler has thrown double-digit interceptions in all but one of his six seasons in Chicago. The Bears' offensive line can share some of the blame for Cutler's struggles, but he has enough weapons in the offense to post better numbers than he has been. Cutler shouldn't be drafted as a QB1 in 12-team leagues.
