Bears | Jordan Howard not on Week 4 injury report

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 11:19:41 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Jordan Howard was not listed on the team's Week 4 injury report in advance of its game against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: A Monday injury report for Thursday games is a speculative one since teams don't practice the day after a game, but the reason this is notable is because Howard is known to have a shoulder injury and was seen favoring it Sunday. The most likely explanation is head coach John Fox's reputation for treating injury reports like state secrets and sometimes not being entirely honest with them. Despite Howard's Week 3 outburst, continue to treat him like a less-than-100-percent RB2 for now.

Bears | Markus Wheaton blanked against old team

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:05:49 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Markus Wheaton (finger) was targeted twice in his season debut in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, his former team, but he had no catches.

Fantasy Tip: Wheaton was making his team debut and he has opportunity in Chicago with Cameron Meredith and Kevin White done for the season, leaving the wideout picture wide open. However, it might take time to get used to his new surroundings, so file his name away for fantasy consideration later.

Bears | Kendall Wright nowhere to be found

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:05:19 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright did not have any receptions or targets in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: It was an ugly performance for all Chicago wide receivers, and Wright has been unable to do anything despite a golden opportunity with Cameron Meredith and Kevin White done for the season with injuries. You can safely drop Wright from all fantasy rosters if you were depending on him previously.

Bears | Tarik Cohen totals 102 yards

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:04:43 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Tarik Cohen posted 12 rushes for 78 yards in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and he added four receptions for 24 yards on four targets.

Fantasy Tip: Cohen total 16 touches to 28 for Jordan Howard, who had a monster game in the overtime win. The rookie still had a very productive afternoon for his fantasy owners, but they have to be a little concerned that Howard re-emerged and had such a giant stat line. Temper expectations for Cohen heading into Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, although he is still a very nice PPR option in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

Bears | Jordan Howard has monster game in win

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:04:17 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Jordan Howard posted 23 carries for 138 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, including the game-winner in overtime, and he added five grabs for a team-high 26 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Howard was banged up last week and he shared the wealth with rookie Tarik Cohen in Week 1. This is the Howard fantasy owners have wanted to see, and it came against a strong defense. He'll look to keep it rolling in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.

Bears | Mike Glennon passes for 101 yards

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:03:53 -0700

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon completed 15 of his 22 pass attempts for 101 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 3 overtime win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Glennon didn't do anything statistically, but his team picked up the win. He is still not cemented as the starting quarterback in Chicago and his fantasy value is rather minimal heading into Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 07:05:28 -0700

Fantasy Tip: Howard is expected to play in Week 3 but likely will continue to share snaps with Tarik Cohen. He will be facing a solid Pittsburgh Steelers run defense this week and may not be more than a flex option.

Bears | Zach Miller not on injury report

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:59:08 -0700

Chicago Bears TE Zach Miller (non-injury) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Miller has been targeted 15 times in the first two games and should continue to be a solid option in the passing game for the Bears. Miller should be owned in most fantasy leagues but can be left on the bench this week.

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:57:59 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kendall Wright (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has become the team's No. 1 receiver and is coming off a solid Week 2 performance when he caught seven passes for 69 yards. He will be facing a good Pittsburgh Steelers defense this week and could be benched if owners have better options to use.
