Seattle Mariners RHP Felix Hernandez (shoulder) said the doctors have given him a timetable of three to four weeks until he'll be able to return from injury, but Hernandez thinks he can be back sooner, believing this isn't as bad as his previous bout with bursitis.

Seattle Mariners RHP Felix Hernandez (shoulder) allowed four hits over six scoreless innings in his final rehab start for Class AAA Tacoma Saturday, June 17, with eight strikeouts. He threw 57 of his 87 pitches for strikes and topped out at 91 mph on the radar gun. Hernandez is expected to be activated from the disabled list in time for the opening game of a series against the Houston Astros Friday, June 23.

After allowing five runs over just two innings in his first rehab game Tuesday, June 6, Seattle Mariners RHP Felix Hernandez (shoulder) has had his recovery schedule modified. He will make at least two additional rehab starts for Class AAA Tacoma before returning to the majors. Hernandez will throw approximately 65 pitches in his next start Sunday, June 11, and will not be activated from the disabled list before June 21.

Updating previous reports, Seattle Mariners RHP Felix Hernandez (shoulder) felt fine after throwing a two-inning simulated game Friday, June 2. He will make his first rehab start for Class AAA Tacoma Tuesday, June 6, and is slated to throw four innings. If all goes well, Hernandez will pitch six innings in his second rehab start before coming off the disabled list.
