He has 11 sacks for the season, the most for a Cardinal in nine years, and Abraham moved ahead of Lawrence Taylor and Leslie O'Neal to ninth on the NFL career list with 133.

Former NFL LB Lawrence Taylor pleaded not guilty Tuesday, July 13, to charges of statutory rape and solicitation stemming from his arrest in May in a New York hotel room, according to Jane McManus, of ESPNNewYork.com. Taylor allegedly paid $300 to a 16-year-old Bronx runaway for their encounter in May. Taylor pleaded not guilty through his lawyer to third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child.

Former NFL LB Lawrence Taylor has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of third-degree rape and patronizing a prostitute, reports The Associated Press. He has also been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and sexual abuse and criminal sexual act in the third degree. Taylor faces up to four years in prison if he is convicted.

A 23-year-old woman has said former NFL LB Lawrence Taylor did not have sex with a 16-year-old girl who accused Taylor of rape, reports Colleen Long, of The Associated Press. The woman said in a sworn statement that she accompanied an alleged pimp and the 16-year-old girl to a hotel outside where Taylor was staying. She said the teenager returned to the car with $300 in cash and said: "It was weird ... we didn't even have sex." The woman said, "He's innocent. She's lying. She wasn't raped." The woman is a stripper who lived in an apartment with the alleged pimp, Rasheed Davis, and the girl. According to the woman's account, Taylor rubbed himself on the girl but they did not have sex.

Retired NFL LB Lawrence Taylor admitted paying for sex at a suburban Holiday Inn where police say he raped a 16-year-old runaway, federal prosecutors said Friday, May 7, in a criminal complaint against the girl's alleged pimp, reports The Associated Press. The papers filed in federal court in Manhattan refer to Taylor only as "Client-1.'' In the paperwork, authorities claim Taylor told police following his arrest Thursday, May 6, that he had taken a car service from Newark International Airport to the hotel north of New York City to meet "Victim-1.'' Taylor told investigators that after "engaging in sex acts'' with the victim, he paid her $300 in cash, the complaint says.

Former NFL LB Lawrence Taylor has been arrested for third-degree rape after allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in a hotel room, reports ESPN.com. Taylor has not been formally charged in the case. Authorities for the Ramapo police said the alleged victim was allegedly beaten at the hotel and treated at a hospital.

Katie Nelson, of the New York Daily News, reports former New York Giants LB Lawrence Taylor was arrested late Sunday, Nov. 8, for leaving the scene of a traffic accident outside Miami. Police said he was behind the wheel of a Cadillac Edcalade when he ripped the rear tire off a Ford van and sent it spinning. Taylor kept going, and police later found him in a parking lot where his vehicle was missing a right front tire. Taylor told police he thought he had hit a guard rail. No one was injured in the accident, and Taylor was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. He spent an hour in a correctional center before being released on a $500 bond.

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports New York Jets LB Vernon Gholston has reached out to retired LB Lawrence Taylor for help. Gholston has struggled with just six tackles and zero sacks this season. Taylor said he met with Gholston Monday, Oct. 27. He added, "I really need to watch him on film to see what he's doing out there and I plan to do that." Taylor is planning to physically work with Gholston in Florida after the season.
