Sat, 26 May 2012 11:44:32 -0700

Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson said he may consider replacing SP Ross Detwiler in the starting rotation with P Chien-Ming Wang, based on Detwiler's inability to last five innings and Wang's strong showing recently. Johnson said he was "disappointed" that Detwiler didn't pitch more aggressively against Atlanta Braves hitters after being given a 4-0 lead in the first inning Friday, May 25. He left the game after allowing three runs on five hits over 4 1/3 innings, with four walks and five strikeouts. Wang (1-0) picked up the win in relief, allowing one run on three hits over three innings.
