Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports the New York Jets worked out free agent P Derrick Frost Tuesday, Nov. 25. This doesn't mean P Dan Stryzinski is about to be cut, but head coach Herman Edwards and special teams coach Mike Westhoff have not been thrilled with Stryzinski in recent weeks.

Jets head coach Herman Edwards said Monday, Sept. 22, that Stryzinski would be probable. However, Stryzinski practiced Wednesday, Sept. 24 and is expected to play Sunday, Sept. 28, against the New York Jets.

The Post-Dispatch reports free agent P Dan Stryzinski (Chiefs) visited with the St. Louis Rams on Thursday. Despite his visit it appears the Rams are leaning towards free agent P Sean Landeta (Eagles), but no final decision is expected until early next week.

The Kansas City Star reports Kansas City Chiefs P Dan Stryzinski (head) was temporarily knocked from the game which forced PK Todd Peterson to be the team's punter twice. He had 27- and 34-yard punts. Stryzinski returned to action in the fourth quarter.

The Baltimore Sun reports the Baltimore Ravens free agent plans are expected to come into focus on Monday. They appear to be focusing on re-signing LB Jamie Sharper and C Jeff Mitchell, along with OT Leon Searcy of Jacksonville. The Ravens have kept their priorities under wraps. Ravens coach Brian Billick said Monday should be the day the team makes some moves. Billick added, "It’ll become fully apparent probably by Monday what our intentions are next. Then we’ll go on from there." It's doubtful the Ravens could sign Searcy and Mitchell for their offensive line. Agent Ed Cunningham said Mitchell wants to stay in Baltimore, all things being equal. Sharper wants to come back too, but it's unclear if the team has the cap space to do so. P Kyle Richardson canceled his visit to Kansas City after the Chiefs signed Dan Stryzinski earlier today.

The KC Star reports the Kansas City Chiefs have visited with five free agents so far, but they have yet to make an offer to a player. The visitors so far have been, as previously reported, C Casey Wiegmann (Bears), DL Rich Owens (Dolphins), S Gerald McBurrows (Falcons), CB Ray Crockett (Broncos) and P Dan Stryzinski (Falcons). Coach Dick Vermeil said he can't make any offers until he resolves the team's QB situation. Until then he won't know how much cap space he'll have available to sign anyone.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports as the free agency period opens on Friday, don't look for the Falcons to be big players. "I don't think we'll be that active in the free agent market," Falcons coach Dan Reeves said. The Falcons are about $1.6 million under the salary cap. PK Morten Andersen, P Dan Stryzinski, LB Henri Crockett and S Gerald McBurrows are among the 11 Falcons who will be allowed to test the market.
