Wed, 23 Apr 2008 09:08:25 -0700 The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts RB Kenton Keith pleaded not guilty Wednesday, April 23, to criminal trespassing for allegedly refusing to leave a nightclub parking lot that was being cleared by police. Judge Rebekah Pierson-Treacy set a pretrial date for May 14 and gave Keith permission to travel outside the state. He is not out of jail on his own recognizance.
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 16:36:30 -0700 The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts RB Kenton Keith was charged Tuesday, April 22, with one count of criminal trespassing for refusing to leave a nightclub parking lot that was being cleared by police. Matthew Symons, a spokesman for the Marion County prosecutor's office, said Keith will not have to face the charges of disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The initial hearing for the misdemeanor charge is set for Wednesday, April 23.

Keith was arrested early Sunday, April 20, for refusing to leave a nightclub parking lot. "We are aware of the fact that there was an incident involving the arrest of Kenton Keith at a local nightclub this weekend. We have no confirmation on details at this point. Accordingly, we will make no specific comment with respect to this incident until we have more information. Any incident involving any players with law enforcement we view very seriously, and we will act accordingly," the team released in a public statement Monday, April 21.
Mon, 21 Apr 2008 07:52:48 -0700 The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts RB Kenton Keith was arrested early Sunday, April 20, for refusing to leave a nightclub parking lot and yelling at officers that he was a Colts player who had done nothing wrong, according to police. Keith and several others refused to leave and were laughing, dancing and joking, police said. Police eventually ordered them to put their hands on a vehicle, however Keith refused and took out his cell phone to record the incident, according to an Indianapolis police report. Police handcuffed him when he refused to put his hands behind his back and he was taken to jail. Keith was charged with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, because a man he brought to the club with him was 19, according to police. Keith was released from jail later Sunday, April 20, on his own recognizance. His initial hearing is set for Wednesday, April 23.
