Andrew Mason, of DenverBroncos.com, reports Denver Broncos rookie CBs Darrent Williams, Karl Paymah and Domonique Foxworth all displayed excellent foot speed during offseason coaching sessions. "In the combine, the three kids we drafted were 1-2-3 in 10(-yard) times, which is phenomenal in the quickness aspect, so you see it out there," defensive coordinator Larry Coyer said. "They can fly. I don't care what year you are at corner; that's a start. They're phenomenal that way." Added general manager Ted Sundquist, "If you look at those (three) and you add Roc Alexander, you've got four young corners that can fly. We'd have a pretty good 400-meter relay team if we put them together and gave them a baton. Unfortunately, that's not what corner's all about."

Pat Graham, of the Daily Times-Call, reports Denver Broncos CB Roc Alexander is putting last season's playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts behind him as he prepares for the 2005 season. During that game Indianapolis WR Reggie Wayne was exploiting him for 10 catches, 221 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Denver defensive coordinator Larry Coyer was truly sorry he put Alexander in that situation. "A lot of guys told me to just keep going, keep fighting," said Alexander, who was primarily a special teams player last season. "They told me to keep my head up." The third cornerback spot is open and Denver drafted three rookie cornerbacks to compete with Alexander for the job. Alexander plans to fight off the challenge of the rookies. He's not going to let one bad game ruin his confidence.
