John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans CB Dunta Robinson will not start in the team's Week 9 game, but he is getting closer to returning to the starting lineup. Head coach Gary Kubiak said, "We're very encouraged because there was progress there. We won't push him to the limit too quickly. We'll let him dictate to us how he feels and where we go from here."

"He was a little rusty with his footwork and those types of things, which you would expect. (The way) he competes and the way he flies around to the ball, the way he tackles, the aggressive nature - there was nothing missing there. It was good to get him back out there," Kubiak said.

The Associated Press reports Houston Texans CB Antwaun Molden has been impressing teammates and coaches during training camp. CB Dunta Robinson (knee) said he thinks Molden will be a good player for the team and thinks Molden has the potential to be a great player. "I think he's going be a good player for us. I think he has the potential to be a great player in this league. He has that work ethic, he practices hard and he's willing to learn."

The Associated Press reports Houston Texans CB Dunta Robinson (knee) is confident he can make an early return following surgeries to repair knee and hamstring injuries. The team, however, expects him to return by midseason. Robinson is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform list. "It definitely wouldn't be out of the question," Robinson said of an earlier return. "I feel I'm ready right now, but in reality I'm not ready. So I've just got to keep working. To even be sitting here talking about being ready is a good situation."

Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Dr. James Andrews told CB Dunta Robinson (knee) that he might be able to get back on the field as early as September. Robinson has been cleared to run on an adjacent practice field with trainers.
