The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the National Baseball Hall of Fame will dedicate a permanent exhibit for Atlanta Braves OF Hank Aaron beginning April 25. Titled Chasing The Dream, the exhibit will feature artifacts from Aaron's career including the bat and ball used to hit home run No. 714 to tie Babe Ruth, the bats and balls from his 3,000th hit, 500th and 600th home run and the balls hit to record his 755th homer and 2,210th RBI.

The Associated Press reports former MLB IF Bill Werber died at the age of 100 Thursday, Jan. 22, due to old age. Werber was a former teammate of former MLB OF Babe Ruth and played for the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. He led the American League in stolen bases three times and was a career .271 hitter. KFFL offers its condolences to Werber's family and friends.

SCP Auctions has purchased a full 1938 Brooklyn Dodgers road uniform worn by Babe Ruth for $310,500 at auction at the Louisville Slugger Museum, according to The Associated Press. The uniform was purchased on behalf of a client who is an avid collector of Ruth memorabilia. Ruth served as a first-base coach for the Dodgers during the 1938 season, his final year in baseball.

The Associated Press reports a baseball hat worn by former MLB OF Babe Ruth was auctioned for $328,000 Monday, July 14. The hat is only one of three New York Yankees hats in existence worn by Ruth during games, according to Hunt Auctions.

The Associated Press reports George Herman Ruth, the nephew of baseball great Babe Ruth, was convicted Friday, Jan. 25, of defrauding the Internal Revenue Service of approximately $360,000 by filing false tax returns. Ruth, and his accomplice, William Robert Pilkey, are scheduled to be sentenced May 2.

Murray Chass, of The New York Times, reports 3B Alex Rodriguez (Yankees) and the New York Yankees have agreed in principle to a marketing deal that would reward Rodriguez for each time he reaches a career home run milestone in a Yankee uniform. As a portion of the Yankees' current contract offer, Rodriguez would receive $6 million when he matches the career home run totals of Willie Mays (660), Babe Ruth (714), Hank Aaron (755) and free agent OF Barry Bonds (762), and for when he tops Bonds. The office of Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig and the players union reportedly approved the deal, which was believed to be an important piece of New York's offer. With the milestones, Rodriguez could potentially make a total salary of $305 million over 10 years under the Yankees' current proposal.

Acording to Becky Regan, of Giants.MLB.com, San Francisco Giants OF Barry Bonds surpassed Babe Ruth on the all-time hits list with his 2,874th career hit Sunday, May 27. The hit, home run No. 746 for Bonds, moved him into sole possession of 34th place on the all-time list.

Florida Marlins SP Dontrelle Willis (3-0) improved his career mark to 12-1 during the month of April, with a victory over the Atlanta Braves, Friday, April 13, according to Tom Saladino of the Associated Press. Willis' .923 winning percentage in April is second only to Babe Ruth, who went 13-1, with a .929 winning percentage, during the month of April in his career, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Bill Ladson, of Washington.Nationals.MLB.com, reports Washington Nationals LF Alfonso Soriano joined an elite club when he recorded his 20th assist of the season. Soriano joins Jesse Barfield, Willie Mays, Joe DiMaggio, Chuck Klein, Mel Ott and Babe Ruth as the only outfielders to record a 40 home run, 20 outfield-assist season.
