The Detroit Free Press reports Detroit Lions LB Richard Jordan (knee) suffered a sprained left knee during Sunday’s game. He left the locker room on crutches and they are not sure how serious the injury is as of yet.

Chiefs | Agree With Two

KcChiefs.com reports the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms of two-year future contracts with LB Richard Jordan and CB Central McClellion. Jordan rejoins the Chiefs after going to training camp with the team in 2001. McClellion split the 2001 season between the Redskins 53-man roster and the practice squad.

The Kansas City Star reports Kansas City Chiefs DTs Dan Williams (foot) and Terdell Sands (foot), LBs Larry Atkins (knee) and Richard Jordan (knee), safeties Jason Belser (knee), Brad Trout (head) and Lyle West (hand), FBs George Layne (ankle) and Jermaine Williams (dehydration), OT Darnell Alford (knee), G Ian Allen (knee) and TE Mikhael Ricks (shoulder) all missed practice on Tuesday. WRs J.J. Moses (hamstring) and Dave Klemic (hamstring) dressed, but only practiced lightly.

The KC Star reports the Kansas City Chiefs have signed the following free agents: QB Gus Ornstein and TE Derek Lewis, formerly of the Rams; LB Richard Jordan, formerly of the Lions; Muadianvita Kazadil, who played in the CFL in 2000; WR Geroy Simon, who was in Tampa Bay's camp last year. They also signed four players who finished the 2000 season on the Chiefs practice squad. They were: DL Kendrick Gholston and Casey Tisdale, WR Ricky Hall and OL John Blick.

The Biloxi Sun Herald reports the Saints worked out two free agents, LB Richard Jordan from Missouri Southern and DB Delphfrine Lee from McNeese State, on Tuesday. GM Randy Mueller said he wasn't impressed enough with either one to sign them immediately. The Saints are likely to promote LB Phillip Ward from their practice squad. Another practice squad member, LB Larry Gleason, is also an option.
