However, he was able to take part in the team portion of the practice, serving as the inside linebacker in a three-linebacker scheme.

The new coaching regime do not plan on using LB Koa Misi at defensive end, and their tentative plans might be to move him to inside linebacker. In 20 of the 28 games he has started, Misi has served as strong-side linebacker. Misi played defensive end in college at Utah. If Misi is moved inside, he would compete with LBs Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett for playing time.
