The Kansas City Star reports the Kansas City Chiefs have restructured the contract of LB Lewis Bush. He agreed to a salary reduction from his scheduled $2.5 million. Bush would have been released had he not agreed to the reduction.

The AP reports Kansas City Chiefs LB Lewis Bush was suspended by the NFL for four games after testing positive for a banned substance. The team said the action was taken after a routine test by the league, which ordered the suspension because of a violation of its "anabolic steroid and substance policy." Coach Dick Vermeil said league policy prohibited him from saying much about the situation.

The Associated Press reports Kansas City Chiefs rookie LB Scott Fujita will start at LB this Sunday, in place of LB Lewis Bush. "Two weeks ago he went in and played a little bit and did pretty well,'' coach Dick Vermeil said. ``He went in last week and played a lot and did better. That doesn't mean he won't be mistake-prone like any young player would be." Asked if the outside linebacker job is Fujita's to lose, Vermeil would only say, "It depends on how well he plays."

"I'm a leader on this team, an older player, and I know better. Anybody young, looking in on this, learn from my mistake."

The Ap reports Kansas City Chiefs LB Lewis Bush was cited Wednesday for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released on $600 bond and ticketed for straddling a lane and DUI, police said. Bush was at practice Wednesday and coach Dick Vermeil said he would start on Sunday against Miami. The NFL will determine Bush's punishment, according to Vermeil.

According to ESPN's John Clayton, the Kansas City Chiefs gave DE Duane Clemons (knee) Friday off of practice to rest. He's expected to play this weekend. LB Lewis Bush (abdominal strain) is expected to return to the starting lineup this weekend.

DE Duane Clemons (patella tendon) is somewhere between questionable and probable to play. Starting C Casey Wiegmann (knee/foot) is questionable to probable as well. LB Lewis Bush (abdomen) and SS Greg Wesley (turf toe) are expected to be OK for Sunday.

OLB Lewis Bush (abdomen) was limited to light practice work Thursday after feeling a twinge during Wednesday's practice. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

CB Ray Crockett (hand) assumed a bigger role by splitting time in the starting lineup with William Bartee. DL Duane Clemons (knee) and Nate Hobgood-Chittick (ankle) didn't practice. Rich Owens replaced Clemons as the starter at right end.

The Kansas City Star reports Kansas City Chiefs WR Larry Parker (sore hamstring) was limited at practice today. He is not listed on the team's injury report. LB Lewis Bush (groin) was also limited at practice. CB Ray Crockett returned to practice after missing two games because of a broken hand. He wore a large cast on his hand and he did limited work with both the starting and scout teams.
