"We're gonna be damn good." The team selected CB Morris Claiborne with the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft after adding CB Brandon Carr and LB Dan Connor in free agency. "I know one thing. When you add some excellent players like we've done, makes my job a hell of a lot easier," Ryan said.

"So, that's a good thing," Ryan said. "It's only been a couple months so (the doctor) is real happy with me. Hell, I'll keep working."

"It only took my dad 25 years to get a (head coaching) chance and, hell, he's better than me and (New York Jets head coach and twin brother) Rex put together." Ryan believes he will go on to have a better head coaching career than his twin brother. "I know (Rex is) one of the most recognizable head coaches in football this year, and things like that," Ryan said. "But, I mean, he's also gone to two AFC Championships games in a row. I mean, I don't think anybody else can say that. So, he's had an opportunity and he's done great with it. I'll be better than him, so I'll get my chance."
