In the last five NFL Drafts, the Kansas City Chiefs have drafted 19 defensive players out of 37 total selections, reports Bob Gretz of KCChiefs.com. Five of those picks—DL Eddie Freeman, LB Kawika Mitchell, DT Eric Downing, CB Julian Battle and DT Ryan Sims—have come in the first three rounds. Freeman (Carolina Panthers) and Downing (free agent) are no longer with the team.
