San Diego Chargers impending free-agent C Nick Hardwick said Monday, Feb. 13, that he plans to play in 2012. Hardwick raised questions about his future late in the season when he said he was considering retirement; however, now, he would like to re-sign with the Chargers for next season. "I guess we'll just have to see where that goes," Hardwick said, "I obviously have a lot of best friends in that building, including on the coaching staff. I'd certainly like (to stay). I hope I'm in their plans. If not, we're ready to go on."

San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner said Monday, Jan. 2, that he would be excited to return in 2012. "I'd be excited about being back," Turner said. "I'd be excited about this team. I don't know that unless you're living it day to day, you can appreciate what these guys have been through, what this team has been through from a physical standpoint. They're responded and I do believe this team can go do some great things. We need to get better in some areas." QB Philip Rivers, C Nick Hardwick and OG Kris Dielman are among players who are supporting Turner.
