Ravens | Benjamin Watson has seven grabs

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 18:52:09 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson finished with seven catches for 41 yards in a 23-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: Watson is typically good for a handful of catches, but they are mainly of the dink-and-dump variety. He has topped 50 receiving yards just once this year, and he is a low-upside TE2.

Ravens | Benjamin Watson suiting up vs. Miami

Thu, 26 Oct 2017 16:23:57 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (knee) is active for the team's Week 8 game Thursday, Oct. 26, opposite the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Watson has some streaming appeal here, as Mike Wallace (concussion) is out. In addition, Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) and Breshad Perriman (concussion) are both playing through injury as well, so there's a decent chance Joe Flacco will be looking at Watson often. He would be more of a desperation play, however, and is better suited for formats that utilize two tight ends.

Ravens | Benjamin Watson may miss first game

Wed, 25 Oct 2017 17:23:41 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (knee, calf) could very possibly miss his first action of the season in the team's Week 8 game Thursday, Oct. 26, against the Miami Dolphins. He's been playing through his calf injury the past couple of weeks, and he's missed the last two days of practice as a result of his recent knee ailment. It's exactly why the club signed TE Gavin Escobar Monday, Oct. 23.

Fantasy Tip: The Ravens have a boatload of injuries right now on offense, making it very difficult to predict who will end up providing useful numbers for fantasy owners on Thursday night. In fact, they're shaping up to have about four game-time decisions overall, making this a tricky situation that won't have further clarity until right before kickoff. Additionally, Baltimore will be facing a tough Miami defense, so this simply may be a situation to avoid.

Ravens | Benjamin Watson listed as questionable

Wed, 25 Oct 2017 13:29:54 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 25, and he is considered questionable for Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Watson is a veteran, so the team knows what he can do even without practice time. With Maxx Williams, it's important for Watson to be ready and the team might have simply been preserving him to avoid having him aggravate his injury. Still, for fantasy purposes, it's best to leave him reserved if you have healthier alternatives.

Ravens | Benjamin Watson limited Tuesday

Tue, 24 Oct 2017 15:08:15 -0700

Baltimore Ravens Benjamin Watson (knee) put in a limited practice Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Fantasy Tip: We all know Joe Flacco doesn't like throwing deep, at least, he seemingly doesn't trust himself to throw deep. Watson is a nice, short safety blanket for Flacco and was one of the few bright spots for the Ravens last week. The Miami Dolphins have been subpar versus the tight end position, too. That being said, Watson isn't quite a TE1, but he's a serviceable bye-week replacement.

Ravens | Benjamin Watson limited Monday

Mon, 23 Oct 2017 16:29:28 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (knee) was limited during the team's walkthrough Monday, Oct. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Watson should be able to play and could see a decent amount of targets because of the injuries the team has at wide receiver. He has posted at least 50 yards only once this season and is not a great option for fantasy owners this week.

Ravens | Benjamin Watson finishes with 38 yards

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 13:43:26 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson caught five passes for 38 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Watson has caught at least five passes in three of his last four games but has not posted more than 43 yards in a game since Week 2. Watson should be owned in all leagues but is not a great starting option next week.

Ravens | Benjamin Watson likely to play

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 06:19:33 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (knee) is expected to play in Week 7's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Tip: Watson was listed as questionable on the injury report after putting in a limited practice session Friday, Oct. 20. He only has 30 receiving yards over the last two contests and has a challenging matchup this afternoon, so he should be avoided in most fantasy formats.
