The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to terms with IF Yung-Chi Chen, according to USAToday.com. He will be assigned to Double-A Altoona.

The Associated Press reports the Oakland Athletics optioned P Jeff Gray to Triple-A Sacramento Monday, March 9. P Brett Hunter, P Jared Lansford, P Arnold Leon, P Tyson Ross, C Josh Donaldson, 1B Tagg Bozied, SS Adrian Cardenas, 1B Chris Carter, IF Yung-Chi Chen and 2B Jemile Weeks were all reassigned to the minors.

The Oakland Athletics have agreed to terms with 11 players on 2009 contracts, according to USAToday.com. The players agreeing to terms were: OFs Travis Buck, Ben Copeland, Aaron Cunningham, Rajai Davis and Ryan Sweeney; IFs Jeff Baisley, Yung-Chi Chen, Jack Hannahan and Cliff Pennington; and Ps Josh Outman and Ryan Webb.
