Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Michael Jenkins (knee) will need surgery for the knee injury which landed him on the season-ending Injured Reserve list, but it is not believed that he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

The Minnesota Vikings placed S Husain Abdullah (concussion), WR Michael Jenkins (knee), OL Cullen Loeffler (shoulder) and S Tyrell Johnson (hamstring) on the Injured Reserve Tuesday, Nov. 29. In corresponding moves, the team signed free-agent WR Stephen Burton (Vikings), DL Matt Katula (Patriots), S Jarrad Page (Eagles) and S Andrew Sendejo (Jets) to their active roster.

Minnesota Vikings WR Michael Jenkins will face his former team, the Atlanta Falcons, in Week 12. "It'll be different," Jenkins said Wednesday, Nov. 23, of returning to the Georgia Dome. "First time on the visitor's side. But I'm excited to get down there and get a win. That'll be the best feeling to have, going down there and leaving out of there with a win."

Minnesota Vikings WR Michael Jenkins had three receptions for 49 yards in the Week 10 loss against the Green Bay Packers Monday, Nov. 14. Jenkins has three or more receptions in seven of his nine games this season, but he has 49 or fewer receiving yards in five of the past six games, and seven of nine games.
