NFL | Soward Still in Trouble

Fri, 18 Jun 2004 22:51:28 -0700

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports former Jacksonville Jaguars first-round selection WR R. Jay Soward, who is currently playing in the CFL, has virtually fallen off the face of the NFL universe. However, Soward is still being investigated by the NCAA. While being gone from USC for six years, the NCAA is looking around some West Coast player agents to find out which of them may have fronted a $5,000 bank loan that Soward allegedly has not repaid. He was suspended from the NFL the past three seasons for repeat violations of the league's substance abuse policy.
