Tue, 22 Nov 2011 08:30:05 -0800 Washington Redskins TE Chris Cooley, a former teammates of Tampa Bay Buccaneers DL Albert Haynesworth, said Haynesworth does not really enjoy playing football despite his natural talent. "The thing that I would think about Albert the way his last three years have played out, is that he hates football," Cooley said. "I'm not criticizing his character or his work or anything. My only assumption in this - and it's just an opinion - is that he does not like football, by what I've seen over the last three years. If he loved the game of football, he'd show up and love it."
Fri, 28 Oct 2011 05:19:08 -0700 Washington Redskins TE Chris Cooley (knee) said the NFL lockout cost him the rest of the 2011 season as he was unable to receive treatment from team doctors and trainers for a left knee that was feeling stiff from surgery in January. Instead, Cooley figured he would handle it himself. He didn't think the knee was that bad. "I feel 100 percent that I'm a casualty for the season of the lockout," Cooley said. "I think it was a shame that they didn't let players who had surgery spend time with the doctors and trainers they trust on daily basis, I wish I could have."
Thu, 27 Oct 2011 05:13:40 -0700 Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan would like to have TE Chris Cooley (knee) return next season, despite the emergence of TE Fred Davis as the team's No. 1 tight end. "We're hoping to have him back and playing at a high level," Shanahan said.
Thu, 27 Oct 2011 05:11:39 -0700 Washington Redskins TE Chris Cooley's (knee) injured knee, which bothered him all of training camp, wasn't helped by the lockout, according to head coach Mike Shanahan. "It hurt not having the OTAs and not having a chance to rehab (with the team) in the offseason," Shanahan said. "So when he came in, we didn't really know where he was."
Wed, 26 Oct 2011 12:36:29 -0700 Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said TE Chris Cooley (knee, finger) went on Injured Reserve because of his knee injury and not his broken finger.
