Bills | Looking for Reed/Shaw to Become Bigger Options

Bills | Shaw Could Get Start At WR

Mon, 29 Sep 2003 21:34:44 -0700

The Buffalo Bills might be giving some thought to benching second-year WR Josh Reed in favor of veteran WR Bobby Shaw. Reed hasn't been very productive, catching just one pass for nine yards Sunday, Sept. 28, against the Philadelphia Eagles. Reed seems to be putting too much pressure on himself to fill the shoes left by Peerless Price. QB Drew Bledsoe also seems to have lost some confidence in Reed, choosing instead to direct passes towards Shaw and the tight ends whenever Pro Bowl WR Eric Moulds isn't open.
