The Denver Broncos have announced they have signed free-agent RB Marquis Weeks (Seahawks) to a future contract. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. He will officially be added to the roster at the conclusion of the 2007 NFL season in February.

Jose Miguel Romero, of the Seattle Times, reports the Seattle Seahawks are looking to improve their kickoff return game in 2006. RB Josh Scobey was the team's kickoff returner in 2005 and goes into next season as the incumbent, although the team would like to look at backup RB Maurice Morris at the position. Scobey will also be challenged by RB Marquis Weeks, who was on Seattle's practice squad in 2005, and perhaps RB Ran Carthon, who worked out at the position last weekend. WR Keenan Howry has been both a kickoff and punt returner.
