The Baltimore Orioles have purchased the contract of P Shawn Sedlacek from the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the Northern League, according to USAToday.com.

The Associated Press is reporting the New York Mets acquired P Shawn Sedlacek from the Kansas City Royals on Monday, in exchange for P Jaime Cerda. Sedlacek was 4-11 with a 6.45 ERA for last season for Triple-A Omaha and 1-2 with a 5.60 ERA for Double-A Wichita.

The Associated Press is reporting the New York Mets traded P Jaime Cerda to the Kansas City Royals on Monday for P Shawn Sedlacek. Cerda was 1-1 with a 5.85 ERA in 27 relief appearances over 32 1/3 innings. He has a 1-1 career record and 4.34 ERA in 59 career major league games.
