Citing the Dallas Morning News, Alex Marvez, of the Miami Sun-Sentinel, reports the Dallas Cowboys conducted an interview with Joel Collier last week about becoming the team's running backs coach. Collier had served the same position with the Miami Dolphins last season.

Collier served as a defensive staff assistant with the Dolphins from 1994 to 1997 before becoming running backs coach.

The Miami Herald reports in the week since Miami Dolphins running backs coach Joel Collier was reassigned from offensive coordinator by Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt because of health concerns, multiple sources have said Collier and quarterbacks coach/assistant head coach Marc Trestman didn't see eye to eye. Wannstedt has strongly denied that a rift between both sides had anything to do with his decision. "I've already emphatically said that the adjustment was made only because of Joel's health situation," Wannstedt said. "Now that it has been made, we're moving forward and concentrating on what we need to do to get ready for this season."
