Among the moves, Trent Jewett will manage at Triple-A Syracuse to replace Tim Foli, who has been named special advisor to the general manager for player development. Randy Knorr, who spent the 2009 season as the Nationals' bullpen coach, returns to the minors as the manager of Double-A Harrisburg.

Tim Foli, Jim Lett, John McLaren and Dan Radison are candidates to join the staff. It is uncertain if anyone from last year's staff will be retained, which included bench coach Pat Corrales, third base coach Pat Listach, hitting coach Rick Eckstein and pitching coach Steve McCatty. Bullpen coach Randy Knorr has already accepted a job as manager of Double-A Harrisburg.

Schu served as Arizona Diamondbacks hitting coach for two seasons. Former bullpen coach Randy Knorr is also on the move, as he has stepped down to become manager of the Double-A Harrisburg Senators.

Foli's former position, minor league field coordinator, will be filled by Jeff Garber of the Kansas City Royals. Other managers include John Stearns at Double-A Harrisburg, Randy Knorr at Class-A Potomac, Darnell Coles at Class-A Hagerstown, Ramon Aviles at Class-A Vermont and Cesar Cedeno for the team's entry in the Gulf Coast Rookie League.
