Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams hired Terry Shea as the team's new quarterbacks coach Tuesday, Feb. 12. Shea was previously the quarterbacks coach with the Miami Dolphins. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Terry Bannon, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner is expected to implement a more simplified playbook than that of Terry Shea, who directed the team's offense in 2004. "I felt last year the whole offense—the whole potential of the playbook—was put on us at once, and we never really got good at one thing," QB Rex Grossman said.

Updating previous reports, the Kansas City Chiefs have announced Terry Shea will serve as their quarterbacks coach in 2005. It was previously reported that Shea, who returned to the team after one year as the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator, would coach the tight ends. However, head coach Dick Vermeil said Shea will be the team's quarterbacks coach, a position he held from 2001-03.
