"I think it's going to help me a lot. In fact, the doctors encouraged me to come," Killebrew said. "For me to focus on something else, I think will be a good thing. I lost a lot of weight, but I have gained a lot back. It's just a thing you have to go through."

Thu, 28 Jan 2010 01:11:27 -0800 The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame OF Harmon Killebrew will not attend the Twins' winter caravan or TwinsFest this week after undergoing surgery Wednesday, Jan. 27, in Idaho during which his gallbladder was removed. Killebrew, 73, who was born in Payette, Idaho, is expected to be released from the hospital Thursday, Jan. 28. He was hospitalized earlier in the week.
