Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski said Wednesday, April 17, that he has not had any conversations with free-agent TE Kellen Winslow (Seahawks) about returning, but he didn't discount the notion either. "Not specifically with him coming back but I've kept in touch with Kellen over time. Obviously, I've known him and been close with him for a long time," Chudzinski said.

Fantasy Tip: Winslow's stock had fallen in Tampa with the presence of new head coach Greg Schiano. Despite being one of the Bucs' most consistent receiving threats in his time there, he was best utilized as a weak No. 1 tight end or strong No. 2 option. A change in scenery may be what he needs, but it doesn't figure to drastically change his value. Matt Flynn has the talent to be a capable QB, but whether this translates to fantasy success for Winslow remains to be seen. He's a backup TE target for now with upside for more if he gels with Flynn.

Updating an ongoing story, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have instructed TE Kellen Winslow not to show up for organized team activities as the team tries to trade him, according to a league source. The team's reasoning for not wanting Winslow at practice is obvious. If he suffers an injury, the Buccaneers will owe him his full $3.3 million salary for 2012. Winslow is under contract for three more seasons, at base salaries of $3.3 million, $4.5 million, and $5.5 million, respectively. He likely would have to restructure the contract in order to complete a trade.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Kellen Winslow will not receive a $4.45 million bonus in his contract because he did not meet the criteria that activates the bonus. Winslow had to record at least 80 receptions in each season from 2009 through 2011 and needed to make the Pro Bowl each season. Winslow is often Freeman's first read on passing plays, and Freeman clearly isn't going through his progressions, instead forcing the ball into tight coverage.
